I think the acting was an artistic choice and not just bad acting.
If you look at her dress and apperance it is very similar to character creation style options. Throw in the cold and almost robit acting and you aren't far off from what they could create CGI wise, although with a lot less work and time investment.
I consider it a bridge, so in the future when and if they do do more human CGI, it still looks the same and there isn't the robotic shock.

I keep thinking i want to go back to eve, but i've never been able to find a corp, and with how old the game is, you're pretty screwed on your own now.
I still think Butterfly Effect was their best trailer.
Me too. I think it best described the potential of the game.
+1 I thought is better captured the feel of the game than this one...
I think this trailer is more accurate than The Butterfly Effect. Far more damage has been done to me (and to empires) through acts of treachery compared to, for example, losses through combat.

Funny though that most of EVE's players don't even live in nullsec and aren't member of any big alliance. CCP tries to lie emphasis on things that aren't really commonplace in the game for by far the most people.

Unfortunately, most people are conditioned by games like WoW to only do PvE. Eve isn't a PvE game - it's 95% PvP. The thing to do is find a 0.0 corp that is new player friendly (a difficult thing to do, but they do exist).

CCP has always wanted to make the game about 0.0 player driven drama, why should they give up on their original vision because themepark content is more common in the mainstream MMO community? Especially since they still get enough subs to sustain themselves and have done so for nearly a decade. Player and guild grudges/vendettas last far longer than PvE content.

Agreed.
Awesome voice actor. Reminds me of a sinister Han Solo
"I understand that if I hear any more words come pouring out of your **** mouth, Ill have to eat every fucking chicken in this room."
I liked the trailer and I like the way the actress portrayed herself.
Funny vid for a game where characters can't see each other or interact as a person and are basically just a spaceship with an avatar!

I have to assume that the acting was CCP trying to capture the robotic / futurist Aeon Flux-type and thus deliberate.
I really liked 'I was there' but this one... not so much....
Funny how every EVE trailer never shows actual space battles though, probably cause the overview bugged out, AGAIN! (OH SNAP!)

i have seen al the trailers and for me is the Crucible trailer
As someone who's looking for a new mmo experience.. this trailer doesn't make me want to try the game out. Not sure what the point of it is then..
Worst Eve trailer by far, truely awful.
I think its ok, very hard to match the butterfly effect since its probably one the best ever trailer ever made in a game (my opinion at least)
Another thought provoking trailer. I liked it.
I love their game trailers. Too bad the game isn't as exciting.
Archlinux ftw

Now that's a great intro trailer to EVE.

I liked the former EVE trailer of a few weeks ago better.
