I would like to resub to DF too, if only they would tell us the directly if they'll wipe the characters in v.2.0 and generally what's going on with the development of the game...
I never would have stopped my sub if it wasn't for the possible incoming wipe. There's just not any point in continuing to develop my character if what I happen to be doing at any particular moment will be removed from my character some time in the not so distant future.
Love DF, but unfortunately as things are now, I'm going to hold off until the arrival DF 2.0.
