You should get out of the mould of thinking server transfers mean anything. The fact that these games have been treating server transfers like they were really hard is just so much BS.
I am sure they were a "bid deal" for thsoe games. But that is because they were not coded that well. These games are not made in an enterprise manner. Even though they are some the biggest enterprise applications around.
Each server is its own standalone thing. But the user's and their character are an enterprise resource that all servers should have dynamic access too.
However they do not. Because in some ways this industry is ridiculously primitive sometimes. Mostly because they brute force stuff out the wazoo. Both technically and in game design. When you have a problem just get a bigger hammer! Taht should be the motto of 90% of the MMO industry (well sadly 50% of developers in general)

An instance within an instance....three levels? but will time flow slower as you go deeper into the servers's sub-conscious? Wait, does that make all the NPC's projections of the gamers sub-conscience!? No wonder they are as dumb as a box of rocks..

Seems like a good idea but we'll have to see how much of the game is actually playable on these OF servers. If you can only quest, for example, then it won't do you much good once you've reached max level.
Sounds like what Lotro did, except they kind of bungled the implementation. There the game automatically moved you between servers and at times you bounced back and forth frequently. It was disorienting.

Another interesting thing to check out. I think it shows that they are aiming to enhance every aspect of their game and address every core issue with todays MMO's. I mean really every aspect of Guild Wars 1 and current problems with MMO's has been addressed and you can tell they put a lot of time into it. Now will that uncover new problems? Only time will tell, but it will definitely be refreshing.
how will this affect city's? if the city is full and i enter a different instance of it. could it possibly hinder my ability to use the AH?

Lol, yeah. I think most people complaining didn´t consider the alternatives. And the only 2 alternatives is to either let you watch a que or open up more instances as soon as a certain number of players is around.
Since GW2 let you change server you can´t just refuse to let players roll a character on a rather full server and have a large marginal on how many players the servers should hold.

No, it is not what it SWTOR does. Do people not know how to read?
In GW2:
1. You try to log in, but server is full.
2. You have the option of playing on a temporary server until you can join your normal server.
3. Once you are in the normal server, there is only 1 copy of the world.
In SWTOR:
1. You try to log in, but server is full.
2. You wait in queue until you get in.
3. Once in, each zone has multiple copies. <---- THIS is what is wrong with SWTOR and DOES NOT occur in GW2.
