and yet you troll the SWTOR section of MMORPG.com? How cutting edge of you.

How is that post trolling? Really, I want to know. Please do tell. How is offerring your opinion on the game, trolling?

Since  when people can't do both at the same time?

So when people give you an opinion you dont agree with...*that* counts as trolling?

Oh come on... do we  really have to do this? He called him out because of :

    Trolling

    • Posting excessive negative comments or baiting others to respond in a negative manner is considered trolling on the MMORPG.com forums.

For example: If there is one game that you did not enjoy, voicing your opinion is encouraged. Posting this opinion in every thread concerning that game to the point that it disrupts all other conversation is not tolerated.

I don't know about his post history... or care. Regardless, I can respect others saying that they didn't have an interest in the game because they don't give a shit about cutscenes, story, Star Wars or whatever is the primary focus of the game.

ironic since this is a hate thread, which you are trying to turn into a love thread...

They wont stop , they act like its there job to tell me what i can and cant play or like and it pisses me off. I dont care if people dont like tor thats there choice,

People expressing their opinions is not telling you what to play anymore than you stating you like a game is telling me I must play it.  Why do you regard one more acceptable than the other?

I dont like skyrim, sure its a pretty game and if not for all the bugs i had when i tired it id say well made game. but it wasnt my tatste i can understand that, the diffrence is i dont go around starting one thread after another trying to convince everyone that any positive review was paid for and that the game sucks

So what if you did?  Would it make any difference?

i dont try to tell others what they can or cant like,

You've never praised TOR publicly then?

The problem is with tor haters they seem to like to call us names and stuff for liking a game and act like it there job to tell us what we can or cant like .

Youre taking this all too personally.  Nobody is making you do anything.  Play it, enjoy it.  If you don't like conflict, dont read the forums - it isn't necessary to visit here to play SWTOR.

YOU on the other hand seem determined to TELL people that they should not play the game they enjoy - PvP forum wars! ;)

Compare the cutscenes of SWTOR to an ACTUAL single player game and it's no contest

I basically made that point in another thread, and someone said 'well you shouldn't expect the storylines of these games to rival those of a single player RPG."

My response:  why the hell not?  If storyline is going to be your big thing, well, make it done well.  I for one like the idea of a storyline.  Yet I think they need to do something more with it.

Spoken by someone who has obviously never played SWTOR for long or ever played KOTOR, im not sure which it is.

The cutscenes and stories are very similar between both games, the thing is some of the single class storylines start out a bit slow and build, others start out with a bang far better than anything KOTOR ever produced in the early stages. Play KOTOR to the end, play a few SWTOR classes through the entire storyline and then try to argue this...you simply cannot justify your claim.

As for the cutscene overkill....you don't have to watch a single cutscene to play, you can just space through and read the text.

    Actually, no, he's right.

Find me one character in the storylines with as much depth as Kreia.  Find me one with as much depth as Revan.

Find me one where you make a decision that will change the entire world.

Find me the questlines that give real insight and development on the respective credos of both jedi and sith, and how to the outsider, they were one and the same.

One of the things Kreia did that was so great was caused you to argue with a video game.  There are none of those moments in this game.

What they did was take the "you are an absolute badass who never fails" schtick of MMO's, and added some window dressing to it.  At times, it is very impressive window dressing.  Doesn't change what it is though.

That was KOTOR II, not BioWare but Obsidian.  Better writing in some respects, indeed, but overall not as fun a game.

Point taken.  Though a lot of the Obsidian people were Bioware, they had that story driven flash in em.  I thought the story of KOTOR2, once it was filled in with the deleted content, was one of the more gripping and intriguing storylines of a star wars game.

Yet it was also another game that was not a finished product, rushed way too early (lot of Obsidian peeps were rather jaded at LA after that experience), and the bugs in it really were just gamebreaking in many instnaces.  Took over a year of user-mods to make the game truly playable.   And then, it really did shine.  Even then, a  lot of the deleted content never got fully restored.

You really had to be a lover of stories to overlook its flaws.  But if you could, you were in for a treat.
