You know Russians they are always good at getting past the IP blocks..lol

Teraguru may be Russian , but it has the best TERa wiki available atm. I know lots use their info.

Russia ia IP blocked form NA and EU, to play on ktera you need to go through 3rd party. But honestly EME isn't really even trying very hard to ip block, feel like they just doing it for formalty reason. Also the only 1 single tera P.S. is russian.

Warriors are Epic & Fun... I love them.

On the official forums people wonder how is it that some warriors hardly do need to rest after combat.. That my friend tells the diffrent between a warrior who lknows what he is doing and one who is playing it like a tradintion warrior and just stand there soaking up damage..

But the first thing should come to person mind is they wear leather armor, which should give a hint you can't stand and take hit like you could..

Fair enough. And thanks for the info, I better start checking it out then. :>

Russians are a real competetive bunch i gotta say, always making some room for themselves in MMORPGs. : )

Its easy to tell, with the slow HP regen it only makes sense to take as little damage as you can and watch for monsters tells to dodge and reduce the damage you take.

If anyone wants examples how not to play a warrior watch Towelliee or Pokket and if you want an example how to play one just watch Steparu(when hes actually on his warrior).

That's just a BAM isn't it? not a boss mob. Any class can solo BAM's :). Not saying warriors aren't any good, they sure are. But from what I've played so far seems like more than lancers and warriors can tank. I almost killed the last boss in Secret Base solo on my berserker when the rest of my group died xD but then that stupid add spawned at 10%....

Warriors are really nice in group pvp. Stunning players and so on so I could catch up on my berserker and pretty much onehit :D. Sucks not having any run speed glyphs or cc skills. Going to be interesting on higher levels for sure.

Anybody considering playing a Warrior should kow that the class is undergoing changes like recieving a DPS boost and new combo method.

Are they going to be made less tanky as well or just receive a boost in DPS?

I think its just a DPS boost. Here is a video of somebody who is comparing the new warrior to the old warrior.

It's not that they're becoming less tanky, it's just that the improvements are pretty much all DPS-focussed for the coming tweaks. But there's also talk of tanking improvements in the future as well. It's a fine line, since you can't just go making them the equal of the pure-dps or the pure-tank. Too many people going "OMGDualWield" without realizing how the class is actually designed. Hopefully less of that once the game actually opens.

I'll be rolling one this weekend as I try out the PvP server.

Meh to actiony and anime for my tast thanks for the videos, ill be sticking with GW2 as its more slower paced and not as much eye candy nor does it look to emulate the most recent trend in WoWclone'itis.

You are watching the fastest class in the game with the fastest speed buffs in the game, you better bet it looks fast. You shouldn't dismiss a game on one video, it's very misleading lol.

Agreed and because I plan to play a Warrior for launch I'll be paying close attention to future changes.  Word from KTera is that most Warriors were not being taken seriously because of the stigma placing Lancers in front as they are a "typical" tank.  One real problem was aggro management which is why I think they made dps changes first.

My main concern being a Warrior from a "typical" MMO view is that if your the tank you want to be keeping the mobs face away from the group.  It doesn't seem to be that easy in TERA and everyone is going to need to be on their toes I guess.  Challenge and is one reason I want to play the Warrior, the other is that I've always been a sucker for dual weilding.  Overall they seem like a lot of fun.

Just not worth my time anymore.

To each their own and if you want a slower game TERA probably isn't going to be your first choice.  I'll be honest though, I like eye candy and though it will sound tit-for-tat I find the art style in GW2 a little boring.

As to "WoWclone'itis".  Which part does it look TERA is trying to emulate?

I played WoW for a total of about two years and the games seem completely different but that's just me.

Just not worth my time anymore.

I copy / pasted from a western player playing Ktera.

    Quote:

    Warrior future patch news :

Korean Patch 3.0 The Argon queen part 1 will bring 2 MAJOR changes to the Warrior:

First they are adding a WoW like rogue combo system on some warrior skills; From what I have learned it has 10 combo points and the following skills generate combo points: Death from Above, Rain of Blows, Rising Fury, Poison Blade and Charging Slash

You can spend your combo points in 2 ways; Battle Cry for a longer stun/more threat or Whirlwind Slash(new 60 skill) for AoE damage.

We will also gain a new lvl 60 skill; Whirlwind Slash: This is an AoE attack that deals light to heavy damage based on combo points.

Warrior tanking is not being revised at the moment but it will in part 2 of the patch (due sometime later this year). They will bring changes to Warrior tanking and Lancer tanking. From the info given; they will add more ways to protect the party and more synergy with the party.

That’s it for the news, I will update with actual information when the patch lands at the end of February.

I would not be surprised if they give the warrior a weapon parry skill like the zerkers block skill but will use a lot more mana so as to not have it be spammable like it is for Lancer & zerker.

Here is the link i got the info from (good overview of the warrior):  http://tera-forums.enmasse.com/forums/classes/topics/GUIDE-Nalfens-Warrior-Guide

Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...

This game is the closest thing I'm going to get to Monster Hunter Frontier (which I love but however have played into the ground, logging easily 2000+ hours) but in english instead of japanese. It'll be a fresh start with a similar combat system but new content so to speak. Being an avid dualies lover I will be rolling a Warrior as well - I also intend to solo as many things as I possibly can, these videos were just a testament to what a driven player can accomplish and I love it.

Great post OP, can't wait to start ripping into this game come May.

Here is a warrior soloing Labyrinth of Terror on hard mode. This is a 5 man 58 endgame instance. If you notice at the end of the videos he sold all his loot for 80 million gold!

His crystals are 4x BAM damage reduction, mana on back crit, power on back crit, crit multiplier to BAM and Back crit multiplier. As for the gear its T12 +12 across the board.

His glyph setup here : http://www.teraguru.ru/home/glyphcalc#wr

He has the +6% speed necklace and his weapon is Lux for an extra 18% speed buff.

Maybe we can see this on NA Tera!

That glyph setup is reset, and doesn't work. You set that link wrong!

I thought it was lancer that could solo anything.

    Did they westernize the names?

Am I gonna have to go get the guillotine?

No they did not "Westernize" the names, and Lancer cannot solo that instance that the Warrior soloed. The slayer also gets stuck in the middle of his swings with the rooted combat therefore making him ALSO a bad choice.

Is that supposed to be a difficult dungeon? Because it looks terribly simple.

It is not supposed to be terribly difficult, but it's a lot harder playing it than watching it. Especially watching probably one of the best warriors you'll find.
