Ahh... Yea, we all know what Archage is... It's not like it just poped up outta no where. Mortal will be dead in 12 month unless it adopts a new revenue modle.

I've been in Darkfall naval battles that were way cooler than this. I do like the smoke and flame effects on the battle though (although if you can turn them off in a setting there isn't much point to them).
Mortal will never have naval warfare because the sea level in the core design is totally fucked and unrealistic (one half the world is at an entirely different sea level than the other half of the world).
Archeage is not the same. It doest have full loot. Its tabtargeting combat not flinchbased. Its simply not the same type of sandbox. Anyways anyone in here in the actual awakening beta test group want to clue us in on whats going on?
None of the testers have been asked to test anything up to this point, is my understanding. They usually only let them test about a week before release (silly, yes).
Im gonna jump the bandwagon saying that the games are too different. However those who are looking for the sandbox will prefer AA (despite tabtarget it provides more tools than either DF or MO atm), while those looking for twitchbased FFA PvP will prefer DF and MO.

For me to stick with it personally it has to be very good.
Think it's tough to compare the two things they're kind of too different.
