I havn't played the game yet, I'm in the beta but waiting for the next EU weekend. But from the summary on races on the official site it seems that Humans and Aman would have clear advantage in PvP due to the low health damage reduction they get:

What do the people who have already played think about this? Does it even make a noticable difference at all?

Played through the whole BETA and did a ton of PvP'ing/duels and not one complaint was seen about it.
So I would assume it is not notable on a degree that even allows people to care about it.
Well, some people said that Castanics are the way to go due to the crit buff, or elin and popori due to size etc. Bottom line, there is no clear advantage and you better play with what you're comfortable with.
I have been playing Ktera for about 7 months, Racials play a very minimum role at end game to be honest. Don't choose a race based on racials, instead pick the race that appeals to you. Not only in looks but in animations as well because they all differ from race to race.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
Race barely matters, the buff is so small it bearly matter. Just play whatever you want.
Thanks for the replies. I was going to go Human anyway, I always do, but it's good to know there isn't any balance issues because of this. Personally, I'd rather there were no combat based racial traits in any mmos anyway.
