well i think there really isnt any doubt that the population has increased since the last financials were released. I think its safe to say this quater which ends in may?? with the release of awakening in april (provided it doesnt delay) will show an increase in population.

the interview was nice i enjoyed it also. i think both gankz and darkknight raised up some valuable points about the game both what they like and dislike.

You just could not avoid trying to dig some more PR up, eh? Sorry to break it for you, but the only thing which will confirm the increase is their q1 financial report. Till then, any assumptions based on nothing else than a gut feeling are what they are - assumptions.

Anyone still doubting the rise in population is clearly in denial.

The first one is relative, without numbers it's rather questionable. As for second one.. could you please elaborate, how does Henrik stating they had 1k+ players on launch has anything to do with current population? Rest of your links is yet the gut feeling. I am not being in denial, I am simply being realistic here, basing my assumptions on facts and not gut feeling.

Neither does that report you linked says anything about increased population, only about increased box purchases and activity of existing players. Box puchases doesn't always lead to increased population, since more may be leaving despite increased purchase, nor does the population is on the rise if I log into game three times instead of one, I still count as one player.

I'm not really denying anything per se. I'm just pointing out there is no real "confrimation" other than a gut feeling to the claimed population rise. Henrik is pretty good at playing around with words.

Toferio, I dunno if you ever played the game or not. But had you done it, you could easily see the increase in people all over the world. If you log in now and have a peak that is. Especially if you compare it to other times. So for one that been playing it off and on since launch, I can say it´s more healthy now then ever before. The game has better momentum now, and I could make a bet with you if you wanna. If the numbers in their report shows that they lost subs the first quarter of 2012 I will stop playing MO. If it on the other hands show that it has increased. You will stop writing here on MMORPG. You could always make a new account here ofc, and I can buy new at MO. But at least we would have a bet going. ;)

The podcast was nice. To bad some of the guys that would have participated like Mycke and Shinzon couldn´t show up. Hope they do in some other podcast.

Heh, I may not be a fan of MO, but as any sensible person I understand that once the expansion is released the numbers will go up if only due to some players returning to check it out, enough for SV to make a claim of increased population in Q1 report. You are missing the point however, all I am saying is that at the moment there is no solid confirmation for the population increase as some people here like to claim, other than an impression from cities and a gut feeling. There is however a solid confirmation of the opposite in their latest financial report.

Yeah, but I was there, during the time on when the latest report was based on. And it´s nowhere near how it was then now. No, there is no numbers, but every1 that has played the game all this time can easily notice the change, or increase in people all over Nave. Either that, or every time I and others log in. We somehow move together all over Nave like a blob, and think that there is more people everywhere. So it has gone up, if you ask me, or anyone else that has played the game during all this time. But for someone that don´t play the game, it´s very easy to say "Well the last report says it was bad etc". True, but then ain´t now. We see it first hand ingame every day. You disbelievers will see it in the next report. And no, were not talking about 4-5 new accounts compared to last time. That people here try to make is sound like it is. Do you guys really think 2 new subbed before and the 50% increase is 4 people now? That´s just a stupid argument. Don´t know if that was you Toferio. But you know what I´m talking about for sure.

Now I had back into game. We just fended off some poor Koto and co that tried to retake their old keep. Good times. ;)

The problem with the population increase issue is that SV representatives have continued to post it here again and again each quarter then then have it proven false as part of a poorly thought out marketing campaign.  If you look at Theia's posts in Dec, you can find more than 5 references to a population increase on Dec 8th alone.  Then the financials came out and proved it was all a lie.

I dont doubt that you guys are seeing more people in the game.  I just wonder what the point is of continuing to fight about it until the proof comes out.

Heh..............I was a guild leader when MO launched till i shut the guild down and left the game, didnt care who AQ was then, don't now.

I recently tried the game again after a very long hiatus and honestly, I haven't seen many meaningful changes. Shoot, I hardly saw anyone compared to the beginning days. The world is mostly empty except for a few people here and there, at least thats how it felt to me. The game is in a state of decay is my overall impression.................back to mmorpg purgatory i go.

AQ, Myrm, doesnt matter, all the same.

And didnt AQ leave MO anyway.  Sad really another larger guild jumping from a sinking ship.  To bad MO could have been good.

So much crap, so little quality.

Entire AQ hasn´t left. Most of them have, but will come back for sure. Just hear Gankz in the podcast. You can tell he will bounce back. But either way. AQ stepping down has opened up the world and it´s politics even more and made it more fun. Who will try to cliam GK next, what will happen then etc? New players feels they can make a mark on the world, and that´s good. Nave is more alive in every department now, and AQ ain´t that missed... Not at all.

Don´t get to cocky now G-man. Getting to cocky was why you were attacked and had your keep destroyed. As long as you guys ain´t sour losers, I would love to have you back. As intriguing as it is now when your mostly gone, as intriguing it would be to have you back. So cya all after Awakening. Cause we all know Tera won´t hold your interest for long. Maybe not even til it´s launch...

Yeah, I am sure them having their ressurection mages banned midfight for false reason had nothing to do with losing the keep.

That didn´t have anything to do with the outcome of the fight. They maybe would have lasted 7 minutes longer. They were wastly outnumbered. You weren´t there, so you have no freaking clue.
