Which MMO should I try?

I'm looking for an MMO to get involved in but have no idea what to try. I used to play EverQuest fanatically and still really enjoy the game but I am so far behind the curve now that rejoining the game is not really an option. I also enjoyed playing EVE Online for a time but never really got so into the game that I felt I couldn't put it down.

I guess what I am looking for is a relatively new MMO with a largish community and nice graphics to test out my new computer rig. Does anyone have any suggestions at all?

Thanks for your help :).

    Lots of possiblities.

Give Aion a go. It is now free. New players are free for the next two weeks limited only to lvl 40 before the actual F2P version is released so no cost to try. The graphics are great and will test that system well. The game play is really very good I thought. Some feel it is still to grindy but if you played EQ and liked it you will be fine. Also they toned down the grind, it is not so bad now.

    All die, so die well.

not my kind of game but...

RIFT is probably closest to EQ in style of all the new games (but more like WOW)

I'd suggest Wakfu. It releases in 2 days. I tried it in beta and really enjoyed it. There is a f2p option to test it out in the starting areas, and then the subscription opens up a lot, plus the subscription is really cheap (like $5 a month but cheaper is you pay for 6 or 12 months)

Oh cool I didn't realise that Aion was going free to play. Thanks for the info, I'll have to give it a go :).
