simple.. One question..Uhm..How do you make ISK in EVE?

CitalCital Member Posts: 18

Is it worth training up mining and just mining..Endlessely to earn ISK?

Or is running L3 missions a good idea?

No, don't mine, or if you do at least join a renter corp that has a small slice of null and mine the good stuff. Otherwise join renter corp and farm up anomalies and belt rats. Bottomline, join a renter corp with access to null.

like all games the more skills you gain the easeir it gets to make money. especially at the beginning all you can do is wait for you skills to train.  also everything it's easier in a good corp, so if you want to mine try joining a mining corp, if you want to run missions join a mission running corp, etc, etc.

however, the most and quickest money is made in low/null sec and that's where you need connections because mega corps pretty much run most of null sec. in many places of null sec, for example, if you want to mine you'll have to ask permission from the mega corp that owns that territory otherwise you'll be blown to pieces the moment you enter. they will most likely want a cut or a tax from you. what null sec is not run and protected by mega corps is full of gankers just waiting for you to show up. you will need a minimum of 20 mill pvp skills to survive in null sec, and even then life will be though without a few mates to help you out.

whatever you do try to take one avenue and stick with it. you will focus your character in that particular branch of economy and after a  few months you'll have enough skills to make some decent money with it. trying to do a bit of everything does not work, you'll just end up being crappy at everything.

PS: i would like to add that for nubes the fastest/safest way is missions or ratting with a salvager, but regardless every branch of the economy becomes profitable once you gain enough skills. it's really all about what you enjoy doing the most and just sticking with it.

Buy time cards, sell for isk.

if you train for a dominix within one month  you can complete most lvl 4 missions and earn about 10-20 million a day

you need to also train a noctis

as you train for the  2nd month you can earn a plex a month easy

anything else requires a lot of skills and isk to start

i even did this myself with a new character  and in 28 days i was flying  1-3 missions every day and earning at least  10 million a day

You can earn the same amount chain ratting nullsec belts in 1-2 hours in a Drake depending on how lucrative the spawn rats are.

Yah, but you have to deduct for the time lost when enemy roaming gangs fly through your systems and force everyone to safe up. (and there's the occasional lost ship of course when the rats have you locked down)

    Scamming.

Failing that, there's exploration.  Today the first highsec site I did paid out 190 million isk in loot.  It took under 20 minutes to scan down, and complete.  There's also Radar and Mag sites in highsec that pay out a fair bit steadily.  Lowsec and 0.0 sites pay out more, but of course, with more risk.

This happens a lot less often than people think. I've been alone for days at a time when I was in a renting corp, I literally got bored of grinding money since it was so boring.

join a w-space corp. They control their little corner of w-space and won't see as much traffic going through, so that leaves you safer than nullsec in some situation.

Ideally any EVE player should decide on one ISK delivering system of the game and commit to that goal until it brings comfortable amount of ISK that pays the monthly playtime and funds something else.

This is as far as the community as got in mapping the "What to do" question in EVE:

Yes, I know, ridicilous amounts of things to do that you probably never even heard about.

    Enjoy the "Massive" in MMORPG.

It is so easy to get isk, do not do mining. Find some agent that you like, for example corporate police force for Caldari. Start with level 1 mission and progress to level 4. If you are Caldari (best pve ships, sniping from range) train for caracal, drake, raven or better get some cns or cnr, far better for new players is cns because of huge tank. For example lev4 mission Enemies Abound  all 5 parts get you easy over 140-150 mil  with salvaging and selling tags, mods, refining . Normally i need 5-6 days to get one plex and to have my free play time for a month and rest of isk i earn later in the month is for spending on pvp ships

One hour a night doing level 4 pirate missions in a simple tech 2 fitted BS will easily get you about 10 to 20 million a night.

If you put some thought and ISK into your ships and don't care about the factions that you're pissing off your ISK per hour goes up and up.

I did missions so I earned 5 mill then started station trading in Jita.

    Have 5+ bill isk atm.

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.

It can take a while for missions to generate a decent amount of isk, but once you can solo lvl 3 missiong pretty well its worth the time.  Then go onto level 4's.

Mining can potentially be quite lucrative straight away, as opposed to missings that require working up.   Probably the equivelent of lvl 2's possible level 3 missions depending how much time you spend on it.

These are the two, generic ways to make ISK that are pretty reliable, easy and teach you some fundementals of Eve.

After this, typically a player will join a corp or form a corp with friends and do other more profitable activities together.
