As with just about anything in life you have to adapt or die. This can be applied to damn near anything. Every mmo that has been released since the release of WoW has failed for the most part because they do not know how to adapt to a different type of gameplay. When a mmo is as sucessful as WoW was the only way to attract ppl away from it is to change the base format of the way the game is developed.
I don't play any of the old mmos because everything is presented the same way in all of the games that are out now.
