Well, you have 10 points at level 20, that would mean 1 point at level 11 under the current system. Plus the glyphs are rather expensive at level 11.

Hmm, I'm not sure if there is an actual problem, considering that it takes roughly 2 hours to reach 11 and can easily reach level 27 in a weekend with some heavy duty gameplay. Still, I think that if the game didn't capture you up to 20, I don't believe your opinion (talking in general here) will change dramatically over a couple BAMs.

You obviously miss the point when saying something like that.

This is ridicilous, just play both games and stick with the one that is more fun for you? Are you really going to rely on some random internet crowd to decide which game is more fun for you, not for them.

Nah, you really missed mine (highlighted in blue).

I think the current system is just fine. What is not fine imo is the difficulty level at the starter island, which is in Xasap-o-meter ridiculously easy.

Yeap, current system is fine ... oh wait obviously its not cause it's still not doing that good in Asia. It's still being beaten by Lineage, Lineage 2 and even Dungeon and Fighter. Yeap, everythings fine.

Indeed it doesn't do as good in Korea as the games you mentioned. Your reasoning though is faulty. The game launched with the current levelling speed, aka ultra fast and end game missing. That's what hurt it more than anything and not the 10 extra levels you need to reach the "talent tree" aka glyph system. In my opinion of course.

  • PivotelitePivotelite Member UncommonPosts: 2,145

Lol Sector you complain it is not doing as well, thats because it crashed and burned on launch, it had one of the worst post-launces.

The game released unfinished and unfortunately they had to beta test for us for a year to get a product that would be suitable for release, however numbers are on the rise in TERA and with the patch coming March 7th I expect that number to increase moreso.

I'd love for you to show me this rising numbers you mention cause until the statistics are posted I am more likely to believe all the previous data that this increase isn't as much as you think. Since it seems like a lot more Koreans are moving onto League of Legends, seeing that it jumped from #13 to #3 in a month.

What is your point? The fact TERA is being beaten by other games in publicity?

If that is your point than WoW, Aion and SW:TOR are the three best MMOs of all time and we should be looking at those as the standard for MMOs becuase they are the most popular worldwide.

Well its currently 9th most played mmo in korea and 5th most played mmorpg. Consider how people were making out how it was back during launch i think its doing pretty good right now. Will try to look for stats on when it was launched.

Who would expect the numbers to go up before a content update addressing the major issues, that caused the numbers to go down, is released. It's slated for tomorrow I believe.

It doesn't matter for those in NA though. We are getting something vastly upgraded and added to. It's a bogus argument.

So Sector, which class will you be rolling come launch :)

Just not worth my time anymore.

You stated TERA has fatal flaws in its current system that are causing it to fail, and used the fact other games are beating it in publicity to defend your point, therefore the most popular games certainly dont have any of these flaws and are what we should be basing future games on.

The worst part is, that regardless of all these posts of yours, TERA has done anything but fail. Still running over a year later with a subscription model and a decent amount of players isnt a fail, and then the real question I ask you, why do you think its state in the West is an indicator of how it will do here?

Aion being the most popular game and TERA being on par with WoW over there should be a clear indicator of that.

Then yet another fact is that En Masse in NA can make particular changes to the game, ones totally different than the systems in Korea, based on our input.

So whatever you are getting at means nothing, like most of your posts in these TERA forums...

They must mean something cause if they really did mean nothing then you wouldn't bother replying to them. Though I find it funny that you consider the way Korea runs games the same as it is over here. Korea doesn't have box sales, for the price that we would pay to play for 2 months which would be 75 bucks, they can play for 5 months. Yeap, sounds exactly the same to me. lol

I plan on playing this next weekds CBT3 but it doesnt matter how good Terra is, I know in my heart of hearts that GW2 will be better.  Do like someone else said play both.  I wil lcontinue to stay subbed to SWTOR as I think the game will eventually become pretty damn good and since todays Guild Summit revealed alot of nice 1.2 patch information I think they are making strides.  The problem is its pretty hard to play 2 MMOs at once so I am hoping that once GW2 comes out I will be content to play SWTOR only once or twice a week and the majority of the time will be spent in GW2.

This isnt meant to be a hate Tera post but the way I see it you have 3 choices, play GW2 or Tera or both.

Everything you need to know about Elder Scrolls Online

    Playing: GW2
    Waiting on: TESO
    Next Flop: Planetside 2
Best MMO of all time: Asheron's Call - The first company to recreate AC will be the next greatest MMO.
