this is how you escape prison in archeage.

first you have to grind rats in prison, random drop key.
next you have to use it to open the toer entrance grab a prachute
Oh climb to the top of the tower and use parachutte you have to land i thwater or you'll die. As you can see how far down that is LOL.

That's cool. I love the concepts in this game, and that you can build just about anything. Shades of a fantasy SWG when SWG was fun...only better!
That said, I have a bone to pick with this game. I am not a huge fan of the character models. They seem rather, I don't know...mediocre, or bland to me in the videos I have seen.
Regradless if you escape though, you stil have a 30 minute debuff preventing skills usage. While the key lets you walk out, be careful how you aim the glider as that one you cannot control and so could easily die if you are careless.
grinding rats for an escape key is the easy part hard part is landing in water with your parachute without dying.
So. You're arrested... But the guards let the prisioners keep all their items? Even weapons? Seems legit.
Archeage seems a really awesome game and fun.
30 minutes still is laughable for getting caught and being evil... And then they add some fun jail on top of that.
If you get caught, i wanna suggest a few real life weeks of your character being in Jail, with no way to escape.... Either that, or be carefull not to become evil or caught.

I wish real gamers got to put these videos up... this person is not only a mouse clicker.. they aren't even targetting anything. It hurts to even watch it.
That and half of the video is this person trying to figure out how to jump onto the side of the tower.. and then failing and almost killing themselves.
Just from the video.. it seems like they could have done better. I hope they add to that opening sequence, as it looks pretty bland and boring.

Looks like a pretty damned impressive healing job from where I'm sitting. And, like Amate said, where are your videos? Until we can bask in your greatness, save the Monday morning quarterbacking for another time and place.
Very few NA/EU players are in CBT and posting videos, so just be happy that people like Amate are putting so much stuff out there for all of us to enjoy.
The elitism anymore is too much. I was bummed out that it looks like I won't find a good guild for this game (because I'm "too old"), but now I'm kinda glad I'll just go off and do my own thing. I might get facerolled all the time, but at least I wont' have to deal with all the smug assholes passing judgment from atop their high horses.

It's not my fault that you're keyboard turning and mouse clicking. I liked your excuses on why you were running around randomly kicking and looking as if you're struggling with basic movements. I have an easy solution, and it won't have anything to do with calling you names, since I do not know you. Instead of watching your videos, I will watch someone elses who seems to be able to control their character a little bit more. Usually when watching videos, I don't want to take control of the character on the screen. I guess It was just that frustrating. I mean, the guy could barely run up the steps of the tower.
Next time you are creating a video of a feature that a lot of people haven't seen, maybe you should remind your friend to not go AFK. The delay is noted, thank you for explaining it.

So anyways, did anyone else think it was weird that this "prison" had nothing in the way of guards or obstacles besides one useless locked door?
How about you make a guild that patrols the island and kill any one that tries to escape. =P

Yes and that's exactly what I'm talking about. It looks less like a prison and more like a few walls, dirt, and a tower that is conveniently placed there for you to escape. I mean, no one is watching you at all. You're killing rats for a key? No one sees you go into the tower? No one is trying to stop you?
Does anyone know anything else about this jailbreak story? If this is it, it's horribly made. No thought has gone into it at all.
Yes, you are elitist... because you complained about really small stuff in one video of the nearly 100 that Amate has uploaded. And, as he explained before, you really think a nearly useless skill like "kick" should be keybound? Sorry, I'll leave that skill to clicking and bind a useful skill instead, thank-you-very-much...
And, as was explained (but you seem to ignore it), Amate was standing on the tower so long because he was waiting for an AFK party member. Personally, I'm glad to see any clips of this game that I can and I find Amaterasu's uploads to be very good ones. Look through the 100 or so ArcheAge uploads and you'll see he does a good job of presenting many aspects of the game and gameplay.
The types of complaints you are making are more fitting for a certain vlogger that MMORPG is constantly promoting (names starts with a "P" and ends with a "ket"). Now *there* is a "gamer" who doesn't know how to use the basic controls of a game.
Finally, if you are so good at controlling your characters, where are your videos? Seriously, lets see some of that precision control. I wanna see your l33t skillz, bro. Post dem vidyas.... do eeeeeeeet....

I addressed the AFK portion of his video in a response which you clearly ignored, not the other way around.
I don't care how many videos he's made. If they are as frustrating to watch for me as this one, why would I watch any others? I've already stated my solution, so I see no reason to continue talking about it. I don't like how he plays, I won't watch. I've stated this already, which again, you must have ignored.
I don't need to upload a video with my skills on display. I know what I don't like, and if I were a mouseclicker and keyboard turner, It's logical to think that I wouldn't have a problem with the video, correct? Why don't you use the power of deduction and assume that I'm probably pretty efficient at controlling my characters in game.
While you guys are bickering about this, I'm going to pay attention to the biggest part of the video. The part that shows a fairly poorly made opening scene, as some other posters have mentioned.
Can you even kill other players this early? I know there are a few continents where you can kill anyone, but are there any restraints on this jail island? If so, that may push away players with the play to crush mindset. Plus, if a guild stood in that prison to guard from escape. Do you think anyone would get out at all? You'd need another guild to force them out just to allow new players to play the game? Heh..
The jail is not the start of the game. It's where you go when you break the law "x" number of times. If some one wants to escape that badly they will have to get their guild to help break them out by fighting the players that decide to guard the place or just do the time.

Then don't watch them, but don't complain just because I uploaded a video where I play all relaxed. In case you didn't notice there is no competitive fight in that video. You're gonna tell me you always play very seriously? Spare me the bullshit.
