Steparu released a pile of videos showing unfinished versions of the new zones coming to KTera tomorrow...well, they seriously please me, I love sci-fi and they do so well.

Even without mobs, ambient sounds or music I love them. Have a look(1080p quality is a must):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXEIYvjC0ws&list=UU-S7xonqgsyX5DyjI83uIQg&index=3&feature=plcp - Personal favourite area.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwWzN5nAVh8&list=UU-S7xonqgsyX5DyjI83uIQg&index=2&feature=plcp - Massive open world dungeon, 3:00 opens map and shows it has four floors, to my amazement...however video is a bit buggy but whatever, you see the general look of it anyways.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVVFufN6cD8&feature=related - 0:40 everyone likes floors that light up and spinning thingies.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTDLicztgUs&feature=related - Those cloud movements, the thing is the sky, another open world dungeon. Love the aesthetics in here again...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRmnmVH01lY&feature=related - I love it all...

I had seen pictures of some of the zones and it just becomes so much more amazing in videos, also I thought they were just adding two 60 dungeons but from these videos I know there are atleast two huge open world dungeons and maybe more in the other zones Steparu didnt cover coming up in the new patch. So happy about this, really interested in what the mobs will look like and how the monster invasions will play out now.

    Great info Pivot, thanks!

So these are areas that will be patched in for the Queen of Argon update but will remain "behind walls" until later on? I might be missing something.  BH did a great job of capturing the Borg-style conversion of the land per the storyline.

Gives us NA players something to look forward to above and beyond what we'll get at launch!

Just not worth my time anymore.

Nah, we should be getting these fully patched on launch, with mobs+sounds and all. Also, my biggest issue was recently addressed and I am even happier...now those seven 58 dungeons will go to good use even with new level cap!

Quote from knoxxer, a senior producer:

-Our max level will be 60 so all those 58 max level dungeons would have been a waste. We have shuffled them around -- some up and some down.

We will have more detailed information on it closer to open beta but it should create a much smoother progression to 60 as well as a good amount of content at level 60.-

I should have explained better, TERA is very free range exploration and nothing like the island of dawn, the reason these unfinished zones were able to be explored is because the mountains that seperate zones are easy to get onto from almost anywhere, so Steparu got onto the mountains and went into the unfinished zones and filmed everything before the actual update has taken place.

However with the patch coming later today these zones will be updated with mobs and music.

Ah, okay you answered my question. It looked like Steparu was playing KTera and that's what threw me off.

It's hard being patient sometimes :)

Just not worth my time anymore.

my guild mate did that during CBT2, he went to one of the 3x area by running through the mountain. When he got there there was nothing,no np or mob anything. He than got himself stuck trying to get to castanic city and used the unstuck functon. When he did that all the npc appeared and mobs appeared too lol XD

I went far beyond castanica up to that top zone, its compleletely undeveloped, just ground textures and one pile of bones in the entire zone lol. Then I kept going and proceeded to fall off the map...

This whole thread reminds me of a ptr bug for WoW that let druids fly through a dalaran portal and stay in flight form and fly around old WoW. Not new-old wow, old-old wow.

    Thousand Needles was the best.

The recording quality is terrible but the zones do look exciting.

Queen of Argon Part 1 update  came in 3 parts over the last three weeks,  They did not add monsters yet because the official release date is set for 8th (Don't want people farming just yet).  I'm not sure when the 2nd part of the patch will be added, but NA & EU will be getting part 1 of the update for launch.  Woot

Gotta love the art direction of this team <3

Nice open zones. You could probably fit 100  "Kill 10 monster" Quests in there. Awesome.

Any word on Dynamic Events, Server vs Server PVP and the 9th class?

The Dynamic Event which is the Nexus is already in Ktera along with part 1 of the lvl 60 patch. The second patch which is in 2 days should have the Server Vs Server. As for the 9th class no idea.

I just had a question for anyone who played Ktera to high levels, i.e Kumapon or Target, how do the open world dungeons work? Like the two that Steparu is showing will come in the new patch, do players just fight over them when they spawn?

The dynamic event is coming along with this 60 patch, the 20 man monster invasion content.

As for server vs server, new battlegrounds and new class information, that will probably come with the second half of this patch later this year.

Ya from what i heard its basically you go in there quest inside and you do the quest. I'll ask my guild, we got few people that played KTera think they can answer.

If you are one par with the main wave of players (level wise) then yeah its gonna get crowded on some of the smaller ow dungeons like the pirates grotto or the spider cave.  Speed levelers tend to avoid them because they are mostly just zone quest area's with just a few main story quest inside them.  It's not bad crowded wise on Ktera but that might change for NA & EU because we can PK at an earlier level than koreans,  and ow dungeons make for some good pvp ^^

As for me,  I do all of them because i just hate by-passing content :p

Ah thanks for the information, I am interested in those endgame ones, im sure they may hold monsters that drop valuable loot, I mean the tri-tower one is like four floors...must be something valuable in there lol.

We will get our first taste of an ow dungeon in the next CB,  its for lv28-30 and the first ow dungeon BHS made.  You can tell it was their first one because the cave hallways are very narrow and this design tended to make it very cramped when fighting mobs.  The dungeons after this one all have wider hallways and larger open rooms to fight in.

But you should still do the lv28 one because there is one story quest line in it that gives 128k exp,  and one of the zone quest on the lower level rewards you a lvl30 blue ring  (there is another zone quest north of the city that also gives a lv30 blue ring, so make sure you head north and do that one as well).

When you ding lv30, head to the coast area and do the quest that rewards a lv30 blue weapon (there are 3 quest in the area that gives lv30 blue weapons, great for enchanting^^).

East of Velika,  When you ding lv30 you will get a story quest line for that area.

I don't really like much of sci-fi stuff.. I kind of draw the line at dwarven technology.. but you know I'm open its just my preference.. and i know they don't even have dwarves in this world :D
