People fighting for perma-stealth are still thinking of mechanics from other MMO's.
Those games fail to give assassin/thief any survival tools other than stealth/sap. This is why they're typically useless in anything other than open world PVP. Once you break stealth, you're a sitting duck. Taugrim's video explains it all beautifully.
It drove me absolutely fucking nuts when i saw players using assassin builds in Warfronts in Rift. It pretty much guaranteed we'd lose because those people contributed nothing to the team and spent 80% of their time in stealth trying to find that perfect target. Sure you could annoy people, but i'd rather have warriors or mages actually killing people.
Having to rely on perma-stealth for everything is a horrible mechanic. Is it fun? Hell yes it's fun, but i'd rather not have that crutch and actually contribute to my team.
