DS or PSP?

hey whats everyone think of Playstationportable and nintendo DS? one of my friends got DS it looks awesome image, but another guy i know says PSP is WAAAAY better and can play like DVDs and MP3s and its got amazing graphics, but i haven't ever even seen what it looks like. what do u think is better?image

    On paper, the PSP beats the DS out of the water. No one can know which one is better since the PSP has not been released in the US yet. The PSP can also not play DVDs, just specially designed disks. The PSP would be the better of the two and at 150 bucks, it will give the DS a huge run for its money.

    As Ive stated many times before:

    Imo all teenies will buy the PSP cuz its not Nintendo, and Nintendo means kid stuff for the teenage "gamers".... Still I bet Sony can't come even close to Nintendo @ the first try, thats just unthincable. Just look @ all handheld videogames that have come and gone.... and now look @ the time Nintendo has been getting experience and a better customization on their handhelds, if u ask me theyre going the sega way in home consoles, just making games and then they r going to focus almost 100% into theyr handhelds, thats the only good think they can still do excluding theyre Mario/Zelda/Metroid and any old timer game that r always a great sucsses.... I remeber beeing 6 years old(10 years ago) and getting my game boy(stil those big blocks). Im not sure, but I think thats when it started.
    Not to speak that Sony is now starting to bet more into SOE and putting a great effort in keeping PS2 on the top and bringing PS3 on the same way... PSP wont be that a great deal. Imo its like every1 in this forum likes to say:

    Not that im probably going to buy either (definatly not a DS at least) but if I buy a console/handheld its because of the game companies that back it up. So far there isnt a single gameboy game ive ever wanted to try. PSP already have a few titles that interest me. I dont give a crap about hype, its what each one offers that will make me buy it.

    im giong to get the psp (already have the ds) to me there are two different things. psp is more like a mini computer and the ds is a dedicated gamming handheld. both are probably going to be good and last.

    PSP will be much better. It's an all around portable entertainment center and even gaming wise it beats the DS in graphics, which is pretty bad since the DS's soul purpose is just games.

    Well In my opinion The PSP will beat out the DS but hear me out first... I do realize that yes Nintendo has more experience than Sony in handhelds. And yes they are hand held kings..... But the Nintendo DS is just so anti-ergonomic. I mean I tried.. and i mean Reallly tried to play some games on the DS but they controls were just to crappy.... Especially Metroid in which i couldn't play with the stylus pen cuz i needed more support for the DS and i couldn't play with my finger cuz my finger was blocking the freakin screen... That game imo has the worst control scheme ever.. THe DS is a handheld and i felt like i needed a chair and a desk and a monitor to use it.
    The PSP just has a better Design, probably not as durable but more easily playable than the DS imho. And judging from Sony's history they will have some awesome games with some awesome designers to back up the system....
    Here's the catch.. Sony's PSP still wont win the HandHeld war.. Because I'm betting money that Nintendo isn't going to abandon it's GameBoy Line.... And in the end... GameBoy will win out from pure likability, backward compatibility and Availabilty. And also ease of use....

    So in the end it will be Nintendo DS coming in at #3 trailing behind Sony PSP at #2, and the Multitude Of GameBoys and Sps and Colors and All different types of GameBoy will win....

    Sony sux at everything they do expect for making tvs

    that doesnt mean i hate psp i just felt like saying that becouse they do

    PSP. Evolution over revolution is the case I see going here. The DS is a reolution with its touch screen, which personally I can't stand to play with. All I want is some nice graphics and fun, gimmick-free games in the palm of my hand. The touch screen... I don't know what they were thinking.
