I've heard the devs refer to them as Outfits many times. If they call it guild in game, that would be stupid. I highly doubt this.

Thanks for posting the link.

Been burned out on traditional MMO's and have played none for a year and a half now.

I think I'm cured of the addiction. Yay me. But I do miss old Planetside and grabbing a friend to man a Vanu hovertank and "dude, let's go mow the lawn" gameplay.

Generic MMO terms vs Planetside terms

 

Groups = Squads (10 players in PS1)

Group Leader = Squad Leader (Command XP for leading the squad)

Raid  = Platoon (3 squads in PS1)

Guilds = Outfits

I know. I played PS1 a lot.  The OP was implying that they were changing the term Outfit to Guild, which wouldn't make any sense at all.  I was just questioning that.
