This site used to be where I came to get tips and answers from people who enjoyed a game like SWTOR. Share ideas and talk shop about the game we played.
Now it has become a place where people hate on every game and out right lie and make up things that are untrue.
I find myself coming here less and less because of this. I feel get better tips off smaller sites now that have a lot less rage going on.
For the record I like SWTOR yes it was missing things and I am willing to wait. The planned changes look good and I'm sure more good changes will come in the future. But the constant negative posts are really a waste of your time why?
I'll tell you why this is Star Wars and like SWG I most likely play it till it closes because I like Star Wars and I like this game.

I am truley sorry for your lots.
These forums are fairly bad, but you wanna see a negative forum go spend some time in wow official 'general' forum. Its like staring into the abyss, I lost part of my soul there.
Cool story bro.
As for the concerns... welcome to the internet. Where not everyone shares your views and is free to say otherwise. As a side note, I had an account here that went back a few years. So I've seen the community across the board change. Get used to it. It's no different than real life where this current generation is a degraded version of the last, and the last before it, etc.
Some will buy a car with promises that some feature will be added in the future...some think that if it does not have that feature when it comes out it is crap. To each their own. Put your money where you like.
Let's be honest...
People hate because they feel there is a reason to hate.
I don't care for the game but even my caring about the game is waning.
The devs obviously don't care about my opinion. For the same reason that you liking the game doesn't help anyone.
Cmon now, you're making stuff up.
I've been on this site since '06 and its never been about the things you mentioned, it's more or less always been about the forum PVP, fanbois vs trolls, haters vs enthusiast, etc etc.
The forums are not really a reflection of the MMORPG genre, we posters are pretty atypical in my experience and we certainly aren't a good example of what the greater game world is like out there.

I read this thread and predicted to first three replys before I ever scrolled down. I was right on all three. Par for the course MMORPG.
Do you do Tarot readings too?
I am not seeing how your opinion trumps the opinions of those that your criticise.
Some people like it, and others dislike it (or just feel it is not at the level it should be). Those are VALID opinions, and all are welcome here at MMORPG.com (afaik).
Imo, part of the problem is with people not understanding the difference between opinion and fact, and not willing to accept that people can have different opinions and still have a discussion.
In real life you have to deal with people with different opinions sitting next to you, sitting near you, being in the same coffee shop or resturant. Being part of a community is understanding that it is made up of individuals with their own opinions, and respecting them.
By your thinking, we should never buy a MMO game since it is never done and features will always be added in the game. You think WoW had 85 lvl at launch? You should say something about bugs, like if you buy a car that doesn't start with promises they will fix it later and compare it with a game that as lots of bugs and is unplayable, I would understand. If you buy a car without air conditioning with a mentaion they will add it later, you can either buy the car right now or wait for when it will have they air conditioner in it, same goes for let say SWTOR and the UI, you can buy the game now or wait for patch 1.2 in april, but still the game is playable, even if those feature should be in at release, they won't charge you for them.
Get a life you freaking Gamer.....no no, you don't understand, I'm a Gamer, I have many lives!!
I think you are misinterpriting his comment. I do not believe he is talking about every feature being 100% complete, but rather referencing only some features that are incomplete (ergo the use of the word 'some' in his comment, rather than all).
Imo, what is being said is the identification of two different mindsets (and the hinting at those inbetween) - those that want a game to be more complete, and those that are okay with waiting for things to be finished.
Imo, we should stop placing blame on the 'forum poster', or even the 'gamer', and start holding the Developers to a higher standard.
It doesn't change things to finger point at customers, imo. It would be better for all customers to form a consensus that mmorpgs need to be better, to the larger enjoyment of everyone.

I do not agree with all of that, this "community" has slid over the years it's simply that it hit rock bottom years ago. I check this sites forums daily, out of habbit despite it being much like reading a daily paper, full of garbage to make your blood pressure rise.

You think this forum is bad, just wait until GW2 releases and isn't the great MMO that so many were flaunting around here. But yeah, I get where you're coming from. If you want insight and tips into MMORPGs you should be able to get them from a site called MMORPG.COM.
