True PvP?

I have seen a lot of flames in the beta and on forums about the high lvl massacres of lower lvl characters and the red name epidemic. (if you’re not sure what i mean)- A perfect example would be the bridge at Lumbertown, lvl 20-35 characters eating newbies alive as they try to quest and starting a flame war not seen since Duke vs Carolina games (for you west coasters its akin to Green bay vs.... well anyone or star wars vs Star trek) .

Now i know this is extremely irritating and it sucks to be ganked by someone who barely has to flick me to kill my lvl 16 slayer, but i realized isnt that what we have always secretly wanted? If you look into great manga or books or shows(im specifically thinking fondly of .Hack//) that are based on mmo's or online games there are always famous PKers who seem to enjoy nothing more than ruining someone’s day, but that action is what in turn spurs some characters to be PKKers thus starting its own untitled factions in a way? It also spurs the urge to become an icon of justice, or infamy for those who want to share in the feeling of having sych power of another, that players have always wanted to be unlike in WoW where the most notable players are those with the best gear, arena team, or first to fell the hardest boss, or commit stupid actions that land them on youtube (Anyone else have the Jenkins title?) .

Now i had my own share of rage at the assholes who smuggly sat there and steamrolled us newbies like weeds until i unknowingly vowed to lvl cap and become a PKKer and i realized..... this is actually exactly what i have always wanted. From there on out i played the game with a new vigor, if i was killed by a PKer so be it, it was inconvenient but it was an integral part of a game i was coming to love.

paragraphs would be nice but since i used to type like that a lot i roughly understand.

Yes thats is the reason why people want FFA open world pvp, with no penty. Because if there is penty than everything is set by the system, you loss that freedom you have. While it sucks to get steam rolled by higher lvl its part of the experience, because there people that want to troll nubs and there are people who want to troll those people trolling nubs.

It allow the community itself to create their own faction their own way of doing things, i think its the freedom that everyone enjoys that if they want they can be a pk as much as they can a pkker any time they choice. It give lower lvl some kinda of goal, for you you look up to get revange as a pkker some might want to be the pker.

Honestly to me FFA PvP is fun, i don't take it seriously its just for fun. Same with guild wars its fun, i mean i could go with my party of guildies to farm BAM, and in 5 mins it turn 4 way pvp between 4 parties, than everyone call their guild and friend in and all of a suddenly you got this massive pvp battle appearing out of now where.

That's what I'm talking about.  Open world pvp is so much more fun than some instanced side game.

(This is just my opinion, so don't go get all upset anyone who disagrees lol.)

I have no worries about camping like that especially near end game, people should all be in guilds and if anyone is camping a click on the map linking <Point of Interest> to your guild with an explanation that a bunch of red lowbie gankers are being fags and you can have some fun.

Not to mention it is a long beta in a game with a quick leveling curve and everyone is maxed after the first day, so once they get tired of farming gear, it's onward to be a nuisance/have fun!

In the actual game all shall be fine I would think, all the OWPvP though last BETA is what made the game for me, it was just great.
