Collectors Edition Poll

jml816jml816 Member Posts: 53

I heard that the collectors edition will be about $150.  I have seen many people complaining about that price.  My own feelings in regards to this is that it is fair, considering it has no monthly fee.  Either way, what is the most amount of money you would pay for collectors edition?

I bought the CE for SW:TOR, and I don't really care about the physical items I received.  So, I will skip the CE for GW2, unless they add something else I would care to have.  The GW2 CE will be nice for the people who actually like having the physical items, though.  It's great to have the option.

Remove the figurine and price it at $80-100 and it would be legitimate. Right now it is ridiculous, especially for EU players.

I agree.  I would love to have the C.E.  I played GW1 basically since launch, bought all of the expansions etc.  I just do not think I am willing to drop $150 on it though.  Not that I think it is unfair, because I think it is.  Really, the main reason I believe the price is fair is because their will be no monthly fee for the game.  Fair, just too expensive for me.

If you don't want the figurine why are you getting it? If you want the digital items get the digital deluxe edition.

Actually that would be a good idea.  I don't want the figurine anyways.  I would be willing to pay that.  Maybe they will end up having that as an option as well

A even better idea, which has been suggested before: make two physical CE versions. One for 80 dollars, another for 150 dollars.

Just getting the digital deluxe; the CE exclusive items have no appeal to me.

See, I'm the opposite.  I want the figure but none of the other crap.

It's not the price.  It's about the content.  ME3 CE because I wanted the DLC+Art book.  ToR CE cause I wanted the statue but the art book was a nice flip through.  LBP I bought the CE for the bookends... they look NICE.  I bought the clearance FFXIV for the authenticator.  (I know bad move on that one but it only set me back like 30 bucks)

It's a pretty penny that's for sure. I'm getting the collector's edition as well. I usually do that for MMORPG/RPG games but not always. The most recent ones I can think of are Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 as well as SWTOR and TERA, but I won't be doing it for Diablo 3.

Back in the day collector's editions used to go for $70-$90 but they slowly crept up to $120 and now we have them at $150. I don't think there were many collector's editions before 2009 that went around $150. I wouldn't be surprised if by 2015 they jump up to $175-$200. O:

After wasting $150 on SWTOR, I will never by a collectors edition again.

120$ with 10 inch Rytlock, 100$ without it.
