this is to everyone who says this game is dead.
the servers went down a few mins ago for an update. within 1 minute (i counted) the amount of people in the eq2 launcher ccat system went from 27-1000 capped. 1000 may not be a lot but that was in less than 1 minute AND its capped there lol.

I suspect that the "churn rate" is a litte higher than SOE probably expected by this stage. However on Faydark at least the amount of L30-50's I know are quitting is more than made up for by the amount of new players I see everyday.
As a 35 weaponsmith I spend quite a bit of time in cities and the amount of people asking the same new player type questions in Q and Ant. has not changed since I started playing. I would be surprised to find that the overall player base has diminished at all, even though I persoanlly know people who have quit.
