Why hasnt this IP been utilized as a sandbox mmo?
Factions, magic, politics, fantasy, sci-fi, and intersting characters.
I really hope a company worthwhile can swoop this up before it becomes some form of mmo, mass production template, cookie cutter, insert IP and out pops generalized MMO, game 
To the caterpillar it is the end of the world, to the master, it is a butterfly.

Because its weird? Wicked is a horrible MMO IP.
If they made a movie or a play from it, terrible MMO IP. I am looking at you DragonballZ
In all honesty, Masters of the Universe is the best IP for a MMO.
Multiple Factions: Heroic Warriors, Evil Warriors, Evil Horde, Snake Men etc.
Sci-Fi + Fantasy + Magic: Castles, Swords, Guns, Starships, Magic, Shields, Creature Mounts, Tanks etc.
The endless unique characters of MOTU would only provide a fantastic Character Creation System etc.
Every female player would have her primary ability called "Flip flip"
