Here's a useful post (instead of someone complaining about every game with a shop for a change)
I follow every channel i can for info, and i found THIS.
The links
and
will let you know just how the game runs and looks and whether your computer can run it. I gotta say, all those people complaining about WvWvW being bogged down are wrong, here it is in beta and with a metric butt-ton of people on the screen it really didn't hiccup much so the high end game systems shouldn't ever have an issue (which i suspect are what the crazy insane PVP junkies use. err crazy insane in a good way.)

Imagine that, a useful post! Thanks for the links.
Hopefully the ever present pessimists will stay out of it, hehe. I doubt it though, as they seem to post the same stuff regardless of what the thread is about.

According to a reliable source the game runs on MAX on a fairly old 2+ years comp at 1920*1200 on max settings fairly well.
From the looks of the game it is pretty much GW1 with some higher rez textures, new water mechanics and better models, you dont need that much of a comp to run it.
Hopefully this is the case for the release client. From what I've seen (DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT IN THE BETA.) it runs pretty badly on a lot of systems at the moment.
Yea Ive used System Req. Lab for years. Its excellent and safe.
Thanks for posting this for the community OP. +1
Surprised that someone doesn't know about this beautiful website. But what the hell, I guess not everyone is like me, worried about the shitty pc that they have and will it run the game x)
Useful link, that's true.
Says I'm good to go, surprised considering when I built this PC, should hopefully run decent at above average settings, here's to hoping lol.
Thanks OP!

I am more interested if I can max it out or not (I believe I can).
But yeah, it is a good site that have helped gamers for years. Just remember that running it barely might be an issue if you plan to play in the mists, massive PvP probably will be a bit more demanding.
Anyways, games like this is 90% GFX cards. If you can't run it a new GFX card will most likely help.
At that point I think this test is still inacurate. The game need to be released or finalized. The specks we have are probably the average you need to run at medium or low-medium.
Yeah of course, but it will at least hint if you need to upgrade or not.
GW2 have released minimimum reqs:
Minimum System Requirements*
* Due to potential changes, system requirements may change over time, and you may be required to upgrade your current system (or obtain a new system) to continue to play the game.
Windows® XP Service Pack 2 or better
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3, AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 or better
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI Radeon™ X1800, Intel HD 3000 or better (256MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better)
25 GB available HDD space
Broadband Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse
If you are below that, just forget it. A good graphics card will however let you still play it if you are just below with the CPU or ram.
This is for playing min settings, they havn't as far as I know got the recommended reqs yet which will let you run it at medium settings.
Ok, thats kind of right, now I would like to know If I can run it on High and Max settings Isnt that what we all are really looking at. This is the important information, who cares for minimal requirements

Kinda frightened that my middle (or even quite low) priced laptop will not handle the WvWvW in this game or particle effects. Fingers crossed for bearable recommended settings.
I thought there were a number of videos showing the game running on pretty basic systems ?
Hm, looks like I finally need to upgrade my system. Time to break the piggy bank..
I have 2 PCs, im sure I can play it, but wonder if I could play it with fairly high settings (not bothering with stuff like MSAA, but using good draw distance, full effects etc..) People who've played it at conventions or whatever

1. You cannot judge any games performance based on press videos. Press are usually given access to small heavily optimised areas on a dedicated very low population server, and never represents real game performance. Press videos are always setup and staged to give the best possible performance for obvious reasons.
2. The website you linked to is notorious for being totally useless when it comes to MMO system requirements it is nearly always wrong.
I have learned not to assume anything until a game comes out about it's system requirements
As we all know - developers usually lie through their teeth about system requirements. Been caught out too many times now to fall for it.
I plan on upgrading my system big style for gw2 and pray its good enough to handle the big battles.
I reckon you will need a top of the range gaming system to have smooth gameplay during big battles - Warhammer proved that, and GW2 has much more effects and details going on that Warhammer ever did.
A weak system will die of death in GW2 if you plan to WVWVWV - from experience of other games with similar numbers of people in such a small area.
