I have yet to see even on F2P game that wasnt a steaming pile of you know what. They are all low budget, low quaity cash grabs no matter what country they come from. On that matter I have yet to see any MMO come out of Korea thats nothing more than a slight upgrade to a trashy F2P, yes this includes AION, Tera and LIneage.
The only game that shows any promise coming out of that country is Archage.
Though not all of these games were totally ready at launch they all had a solid quality feel to them:
LOTRO
Warhammer
AOC
Wow
SWTOR
Rift
Vangaurd (after they finally got their act together)
EQ2 does not make this list for me. It actually has a F2P look and feel to it. Does anyone else sense this about games that are built from the ground up as cash shop malls? Or the look and feel of Eastern games? They just look cheap, like costume jewerly. th D

Every game you listed is a Buy2play...as in pay per content. None of those are f2p games. You get a nice long trial, some longer than others with more or less restrictions. Your still going to have to buy the game, and if im not mistaken, sub monthly to continue endgame activities.
Its a nice try though. Also, if they are indeed "failures" each one of those is far better than the typical f2p korean grinder with an item mall.
For the record, f2p games are just that, you can play the entire game free of charge, advantages and removal of fustration found in the cash shop. Aion would really be the only good example of a p2p going f2p, however its still PPC (pay per content) or some variation, since you only get 1-40 for free then have to buy the box and sub...not sure when it goes totally f2p. Oh and theres a reason NCsof is dubbing it "Totally Free to Play" since most P2P games that "go f2p" dont, its a trick, you still have to buy the game eventually and most require a sub if you want the whole game.
