Hi all,
I'm pretty new here, so I don't know how to search good on this site. But let me cut the crap and get to the point. I'm searching for a good game of high quality that doesn't cost to much. With "not to much" I mean a maximum of 60 or $78, and if possible even for free. Any thoughts?

Usually knowing the type of games you like is helpful.
FPS, RTS, MMORPG, RPG, SIM..etc
srry
like I said, I'm pretty new here
any type of RPG (MMORPG or SP RPG is good as well, ...)
Uggh well if you really want that right game Id wait for a game like DnL or something to come out. Otherwise id go with EQ as it can last you for years and has literally tons of content.
yeah, but WoW has that irritating monthly fee
that costs you tons after a half year
sounds interesting, I'll google a bit about it ^^
Wait for Guild Wars. You can't beat no monthly fee! And after playing through the weekend preview events, I can tell you it's gonna be a damn good quality game.

the most good require monthly fees indeed, but I'm only 15 years old, and I do not have enough money to spare to buy the game and after that pay a monthly fee . Or it has to be one very good game that I can keep playing for years.
any more suggestions?
(srry for dubbelpost, but it needed a bump)
and?
Unfortunately, since the MMORPG craze, I have not seen a good 2D or 3D single-player RPG being released (please someone correct me if I'm wrong). I could suggest a few single-player RPGs, but I agree with everyone here that a good MMORPG would require a monthly fee, not to mention decent PC hardware to run them. Some of the (older) single-player RPGs I like are:
Might & Magic VII
Might & Magic VIII
Wizardry 8
Planetscape: Torment
Icewind: Dale
They should be fairly cheap to get, as they are not new. Also don't expect top-of-the-line graphics and sound, as I said these are older games (before the MMORPG explosion). As for MMORPGs, if you happen to get some money, you can play these:
Everquest 1 - huge game, low monthly fee ($12.95 if I'm correct), base game costs $4.99 (no expansions), reasonable system requirements (compared to more recent MMORPGs)
Everquest 2 - huge game, higher monthly fee ($14.95 if I'm correct), base game costs around $30-40, high system requirements
World of Warcraft - easy to play, nice graphics and sound (so I was told), dunno how much the monthly fee is, game costs around $50, system requirements are reasonable
I am not recommending Final Fantasy XI because I am against their policy of making you buy their game again if you completely cancel and not install/register the game again after 3 months. No other MMORPG that I know of has that policy (again, someone correct me if I'm wrong).
By the way, I have played all MMORPGs mentioned but World of Warcraft, and I own all the single-player games I mentioned above.
That's my two cents.
I don't know where you got that from. Also don't know where everyone else I saw type that got that from.
I had NO problems at all registering again after 3 months, just lost my character, that's all.
Either the people that said that is very stupid and doesn't know how to register or I missed something.
Doubt it's the latter.
I have Icewind Dale myself as well. I also played the free beta of WoW, but it wasn't worth paying 12$/month after paying the base game for 50. So I'm still in search now . And how about hack & slash rpg's? Like Diablo 2 LoD etc.? (I have that game for years and I'm still not tired of it)
