Question about the Fippy server

Mr_WolfxMr_Wolfx Member Posts: 176

I'm thinking about subbing to this game. I've never played before, but I heard it's really hard for new players. So I was just wondering what the pop was on the Fippy server, and what x-pac they're on? Also any info for a newbie would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance:)

Yes I have a dream… And its not some MLK dream for equality. …I wanna own a decommissioned lighthouse …And I wanna live at the top… And nobody knows I live there. …And theres a button that I can press, and launch that lighthouse into space.

Fippy has a pretty decent population for Everquest, one of the heaviest. The XP on the progression servers has tweaked when they launched, and the first few levels were brutal if you couldn't get groups to boost your XP rate. I think it's currently at Planes of Power but not real sure. You have access to the Plane of Knowledge and the Bazaar. The Mines of Gloomingdeep tutorial zone was activated with free-to-play. There is no Crude Defiant gear like you find on the regular servers, but the main quest series hands out an equivalent set of Kobold Gloomingdeep gear (all colored blue). There are also occasional drops of Gloomiron, Gloomchain, Gloomleather, Gloomsilk gear (all no-trade, so don't grab it if you can't use it), and Vahlara gives light burlap armor in exchange for Gloomingdeep Silk. And the first 10 levels go way faster in the tutorial than used to be the case on Fippy and Vulak. Open the kobold barrels for all sorts of useful/saleable stuff. Hail all NPCs, even without quest text above their heads, to get some quests.

    arms - Vahlara (inital orientation)

chest - Vahlara (later spider or cocoon-silk quest)

face - learning to swim (halfling by bridge)

    head - kill queen spider

    legs - Battle of Gloomingdeep

    feet - Goblin Treachery

    hands -

    wrist -

    weapon - kill overseer Gniken
