OMG! Ok I have been a beta tester for a while, but why are the so protective of the game. I mean I never really played it so I asked for a new download and like I have to send a petition wait 48 hours for a e-mail get the URL and it expires in 16 HOURS! AND IT IS A ONE TIME USE URL! GIMMIE A BREAK! WHY are they so protective and scared that beta testers will tell every one the secrets of MxO and that people are out to steal their ideas.... damn...

Thats easy, if they left that URL intact for more than 16 hours, the exiles would trace the download and steal it for themselves!

Ummm, no, its probably not a security issue. Why would you expect them to keep a saved session for longer then that on a server? It takes memory and hardware to maintain each person's unique URL and they can't just leave them there forever or eventually the system will just self destruct due to lack of resources. Its just cleaning up from anyone that didn't bother to download it when they had the chance.

It being a one time use URL makes complete sense, once again, it has to housekeep itself so it doesn't run out of system resources. I am quite sure it has zero to do with them worrying about anyone getting the client, since thats publicly availible at fileplanet.
