Coming soon!
Two dragons have joined in unholy union, and all Telara stands on the brink of molten ruin. Maelforge and Laethys are poised to rise from Ember Isle, and only the mightiest Ascended can brave the heart of Maelforge's volcanic prison to slay the Flame Sire and his covetous mate.
Filled to the brim with searing excitement, RIFT™ 1.8: Infernal Dawn is but the latest update in our unrelenting eruption of new content. Take a look at everything that will rise with the Infernal Dawn.
Maelforge, Laethys, and their mightiest lieutenants await in the boiling veins of a great volcano. You and your allies must face seven deadly bosses to conquer the most advanced raid in Telara.
Live off the land as you explore and defend Telara. Catch fish, artifacts, and even companions with Fishing. Then use Survival to cook meals for in-game buffs, or to craft fishing poles and lures! Fishing and Survival do not count against the tradeskill limit.
Teleport on-demand to the lost home of the Kelari for heart-pounding action and the richest Instant Adventure rewards yet.
Looking for a home and allies for your Ascended? Use Guild Finder to find like-minded immortals. You’ll be seeing that green text scrolling by in no time!
The Carnival of the Ascended ends in fiery catastrophe in RIFT 1.8, when the Wanton Maw launch their final, frenzied assault. Can you halt the allied cults and their Blood Storm masters?

I really want to like this game, but the world is so boring. Just paid for a 3 month membership (after taking off for 5) and haven't played more than twice in 4 weeks.
I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.
Not really tooo excited for fishing. I guess it's more content but I never really went fishing in WoW to kill time. I doubt survival will be worth anything more than a time killer. IA's are already the greatest timekiller, imo.
Rift
They are naming the battlegroups into divisions and adding leaderboards which will be a interesting time sink also. I am unsure of why that was not in that posting they put up. I would prefer they take more ideas from something like Archage and stop trying to one up WoW.
Survival does have some nice buff foods and energy restoration serums. They are trying to expand crafting dailies by adding quest items you can craft for dailies compared to make 10 vials.
I am hoping they give more details about this Guild Hall idea where it is like a danger room for X-men. That would be pretty awesome if you could summon like Murdantix or Grughonim to practice a boss.
I got put off by how disjointed everything is. Its not a singular cohesive experience, its a bunch of fragmented game play elements on top of a boring world.
personally i think trion are nothing short of fantastic.they just keep adding stuff non stop.i dont know how anyone can knock this game really..yeah its a wow copy apart from the invasions but i think they have done wonders for a small company.i stopped playin for lack of things to do but does'nt mean i wont be back once a load of content is added.
Point to the misinformed stuff. My presence on these forums is honest, which is the key thing. Seems to me since you are getting so bent out of shape over a couple posts every week you are the one who is spending too much time here.
edit: I just checked the first page, I have posted in a total of three theads on it, and this is the only one that has a negative opinion on Rift.
Have you tried drinking? I run 5 mans after about 3 stiff drinks. It's a lot of fun.
I like the game in general but I think you have hit on something here.
