This is true, and very evident here at MMORPG.com where the mods are locking any negative threads, many without explanation.

I am a GW2 fan, and will be prepurchasing, but am sickened when people are flamed for being trolls when they have concerns, or have their concerns moderated.

People forget that differences in opinion and individuality are GOOD things.

Would you explain what, in your opinion, makes this post worthy of being locked? I mean, you're really not arguing anything, or even making a point. Also, I'm not insulting anyone, or anything, in fact I'm defending myself against insults and out right lies against my person.

You're making yourself the dicussion, first I doubt anyone really cares, second, it's against the rules to discuss a poster, I'm sure that even applies when tht person is trying to discuss themselves.

Third, you lose, the only reason anyone would call you out that way, is to get a rise out of you, they obviously have had some success in that.

I made this post solely to address what was said about me on my own post that, as someone else said was unjustly locked while I was away. If it were not, I would of done it there. If that offends you in some way, I apologize but no one forced you to read this post.

No one got "a rise out of me", and simply responding does not prove that as people on the internet so often assume.

I was just pointing out the answer to your question "why should this be locked". The last part was a poor attempt at forum PVP.

To which I'll respond in a similar manner to a previous post.

I'm adressing people, who adressed me, in a post about GW2, that as another poster said, was unjustly locked. In addition I did try - however successfully - to clearify exactly my intent of the previous post and would perfectly content with continuing that discussion. However since a large portion of the text was my adressing previous comments levied at me, I do understand why a majority of people think this is all about me and are posting accordingly.

So?  If you have problems with people, PM them or forget about it.  It's a forum, I've said critical things to a poster that I agreed with wholeheartedly that same day and the same has happened to me.  Don't let it bug you, threads like this still aren't really about games themselves though.
