A member started a thread that sparked a conversation about the upcoming system for dyeing clothing and armor in the game, which elicited a response from one of the SV devs regarding that system:
"Given all these suggestions, I think you'll be quite happy with the system. I'm not sure what kind of detail I can go into but we're able to control this very well. You won't see overly saturated colours, dyeing will only affect certain parts of armour, and we can introduce different dyes.
If you played UO and used that dye system.. well it's not like that at all so it's irrelevant. You mix dyes to blend the colour of the dye into the tub, which for now typically start white. So say you had a deep red dye, and a few black ones. When you use that deep red dye the tub will get a little more red. Toss in some black and it'll get darker. Toss in another black and it'll get darker still, and so on. The players create the colours, there is no simple palette!
Safety note ** It's possible, but unlikely, that this system will change before release as it's not yet being tested by focus group and who knows what will happen.. but it seems pretty solid as is right now internally.
And yeah, those icons do change colour now.. something I tried to point out with the April fools picture."

To me, while this is not the most "vital" systems supposed to be coming with Awakening, in my opinion systems like this are still an important part of MMO gaming, and help to deeping the virtual world, if only a little bit.
In any event, it sounds pretty cool.
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
