Bioware has completely gone down the toilet, mainly starting with Dragon Age II. I didn't buy it (played a friend's copy) and I haven't bought Bioware game since. All I hear is horrible things about their products these days, what is going on??? Used to be one of my favorite companies...
Please don't ban me again for expressing my opinion moderators, you guys are ridiculous. Can't criticize anyone/anything any more without threat of being banned.
Is what happened. EA is the most devistating, assimilating, yet somehow still bloody useless, menace since the Borg. Bioware is just one of many companies EA bought then turned to utter shite.

The sad thing is you not only have a bunch of mmorpg gamers leaving SWTOR because they don't like it. There are also a lot of people on the tech support forums and emailing EA for support that love the game but can't get it to work or stop it from crashing every 5 minutes. EA just isn't responding or providing updates like any decent customer service dept would. So even if you love SWTOR, don't think you are special or will get any kind of help from EA if your client starts failing or it becomes unplayable. They apparently just don't care. There are thousands of people having technical issues preventing them from playing it, and hundreds of pages of crash reports and dxdiags with no EA/BW responses. That's just a very, very stupid move on their part.
I know 3 people who play mmo's and all three of them have allready tried this game and quit, including me. Dont they realize that everyone who was interested in this game allready told everyone they know about it back at launch?
I seriously wouldnt recommend this game to anyone, let alone me log in again, I have recently removed this off my PC and tossed the game into the trash, everyone I knew that played the game tried it didn't like it, and was even more insulted coming from SWG into this game, went from unique MMO to WoW with lighsabers... classy isn't it?
I'm sorry for you. I might not know 25 gamers in RL, but I'd come pretty close. Then again, I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. That would just be a sure-fire way to just throw your gaming-related credibility out the window.
I'm LMAO at these free weekends and all this stuff Biofail is trying to do to bring more suckers into the worst SW game ever made. They created a SPRPG and now that the rush of the intiial players have reashed 50 and unsubbed they are trying like mad to keep some type of player influx so they don't have to admit publictly that their intentions with TOR was never to build a real mmorpg and capture that playerbase.
I honestly thought that the SOE NGE would go down as the most important case study of what not to do in a mmo, but after this pile of crap, it makes that look like a miracle patch.
Let's not forget to exagerate at least a bit. The NGE a miracle patch? Well, come to think of it...
This isn't really relevant to the topic so I don't wanna talk about it here, that's just a post I put in for the moderators because they dislike my very blunt way of making comments on here.
But yeah my roommate also played SWTOR on the weekend and has never looked back. I just told him that they're doing these events most likely because the game sucks and is failing, this new thing kinda proves that more.
Yep, just like almost every other MMO that gives out free play time so people can check out their game and make up their own minds instead of listening to fanbois and trolls.

This is somewhat sad and telling news. This game has proven to be a giant disappointment to me. I just cancelled my sub this morning. I would have done it months ago, however my husband loves the game and so I stuck with it for him. Ugh, the thngs you do for marriage.
I have asked him why he likes it and he states its different than the usual level/dailies grind style of game. I don't really see his point because there is so much wrong with the game for me, that I cannot fathom spending any time in it.
I almost feel like this experience has burnt me out on MMO's and I have lost the spark that kept me playing the genre. There has been a definte evolution from the EQ/DAOC days. Less grind and more instant gratification. But I still do not understand why there cannot be a balance. Maybe because im a gamer of old, I have higher expectations. Sigh.
In anycase I am sorely disappointed in Bioware. They were my favorite game company until this SWTOR debacle.

Not trying to judge you here, but from what you are typing, I would say you were burnt out on MMOs before you ever played SWTOR.

You guys should try to send the invites to the emails of the SWTOR developers or their business emails.
