they're really pushing hard. three free weekends back to back and now this. they're really getting it out there.

They just need to work on the game. Raise level cap and add alot more to it.
gonna take a lot of work, imo.
From the cries of server merges on the official forums the sub numbers seem to be plummeting.
9/10 my ass......
Life IS Feudal
I don't know 25 RL people
Well if some one wants to give me a guest invite I'd try the game.

Lol, gotta keep padding those numbers for the investors.
25! LOL!

Meanwhile over in pandaland, the servers are so flooded that I can't even get past the very first login. Perhaps Bioware could recover some money by letting Blizzard rent a couple of servers while the MoP beta is taking place. Nobody would notice if some of the dead SWTOR servers went missing
I'm a big ol' fluffy carewolf. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
No thanks you can keep your investor fraud invite key tactics to yourself EA. I hope you enjoy your falling stock prices. Maybe you'll pull your heads out of your asses after this humiliating turn of events.
"I am not in a server with Gankers...THEY ARE IN A SERVER WITH ME!!!"
Although I'm enjoying my time in the game, it falls short in so many ways that I don't know I could knowingly promote the product to one friend of mine, let alone twenty-five.

lolswtor. That is all.
The Deep Web is sca-ry.
Heh you're exaggerating. Blizz already went on record saying their numbers are dropping as well. Granted it makes little difference due to the volume of customers but they are getting hit pretty good. My friends are already complaining that folks are disappearing and not showing up anymore. Makes me wonder what the heck is everyone playing that I am missing unless they went to single player games.
Yep I am still enjoying the game but it really doesn't give me a ton to say 'hey bud! Come try this out!' Only thing I was able to say to one friend was that they would enjoy the voice overs and storyline (being rpers and all). Everything else is pretty status quo. I won't bad mouth the game though as opinions and tastes can differ and it's not like I'm not enjoying it. But at the same time I am not enjoying it to the point that I am thinking I won't grab GW2 or -maybe- look at The Secret World. Still waiting for that game that will make me say 'To hell with all other games!'

I hope this game goes f2p with p2w cash shop. I wanna breeze my sith warrior and just smash roll things in pvp. They should cater cash shop to white collar folks such as us, so we can steamroll the the poor common folks arse, so they learn they're place that the rich whether in real world or virtual world...WE'RE UNMATCHED! wahahahah
wow, it might not be desperate but its definately looking desperate at this point. I really think they want to pull in as many people as possible before the next set of big hitter mmos come out.
Sorry to say, But if someone came to me and said "Which would i get more value for money out of wow or swtor?" Im sorry i would have to direct them to WoW.
In fact I would only direct them to the game if they were a star wars fan, as many mmorpgs offer nearly all the features of swtor and more.
TSW - AoC - Aion - WOW - EVE - Fallen Earth - Co - Rift - || XNA C# Java Development
I would agree. There's no directly conclusive evidence as of yet that the game's hurting, aside from what people have noticed watching server populations, but this certainly looks desperate.

To be honest i think that desperate pretty much sums up the entire MMO market these days... i think the MMO-bubble is about to burst just like the whole IT-Sector did a few years a go.
This is still a seriously fun game if you look for a nicely paced RPG to play with your frinds (or former pnp gaming group that due to real life and age no longer can meet)
It is not the second comming of Eaton.
This have been a good conversation
Gaddamit!? Every player gets 25 guest invites to hand out?!
I've actually never heard of anything like it before, and it seems really fishy for a "succesful" mmo to do something like this so soon after launch.
I really cant see any other reason than that they want to desperately get some numbers before the next quarterly report.
Scenario I
EA: Oh welcome! Welcome to discount EA store!
Me: Yeah, listen. I’m running a resale business. But I can’t get enough of people's unwanted crappy SWTOR editions to keep up, so I'd like to buy some of yours.
EA: Oh you do so good business! You so clever!
Me: I get by. Let's see I'm going to need some standard, deluxe, and collector's editions.
EA: O.K. What edition would you like?
Me: Oh I don't know. I guess I'll take that edition there.
EA: Oh! You make so good choice! Oh it’s beautiful! Look it’s beautiful!
Me: And um, maybe I'll take that one for $149.99.
EA: Oh that’s best one. You so clever. You take advantage my low prices.
Me: How about that digital deluxe edition for $79.99.
EA: You got good eye. You so clever. I'm getting taking advantage. You like f*** EA company.
(*Long Pause*)
Me: What did you say.
EA: I know you walk by my store and you say "Oh there is nice EA company I think I go in and I f*** him" you EA company f***er you.
Me: Wait a minute. How much do you pay for this stuff?
EA: Oh I pay millions, all thanks to the Hero Engine, and you come here and f*** me.
Me: O.K. Quit the act. I am not f***ing you and you know it.
EA: No, no, you f*** me!
Me: No, no you f*** me! F*** you!
I'm LMAO at these free weekends and all this stuff Biofail is trying to do to bring more suckers into the worst SW game ever made. They created a SPRPG and now that the rush of the intiial players have reashed 50 and unsubbed they are trying like mad to keep some type of player influx so they don't have to admit publictly that their intentions with TOR was never to build a real mmorpg and capture that playerbase.
I honestly thought that the SOE NGE would go down as the most important case study of what not to do in a mmo, but after this pile of crap, it makes that look like a miracle patch.
