I was sent a closed beta key and tried to log in but it said I was logging in from an unknowndevice? they then sent me a code to my email and when i put the code in it said it was in invalid code, how can that be since it was sent by en masse? I could not even write a support ticket because i could not log in, and yes my cookies are set to accept any and my java is up to date

another cause of this issue is if you are from a non-US IP address and you are trying to access the NA beta. Some people in Europe reported this same problem.
This is a US IP address
I got the same message, but didn't have any troubles entering my confirmation code that was emailed to me. Had a host of other issues with the download, though.
First one I had was that it kept saying I didn't have enough memory to complete the download. Kept stopping at around 26%. Eventually, I found out I had to move the Tera folder from the program files (X86) that they installed in into to my public > games folder instead. Downloaded without any issues from there.
Second issue I had was incredibly slow download speed. Around 60 KB/s. Was giving me a timeline of a week for it to download. Found out the way around this is to go into the launcher settings and turn the P2P share option off (default is on), and my download shot up to about 1.18 MB/s, and I finished the whole thing in a few hours.
So if anyone else has those two issues, those fixes might help.
I've had to enter in the email code a few times and it worked as well. Could it be you didn't activate your EME account initially by clicking the link in your email confirmation?
If anything create a new EME account and enter the code. The CBT codes don't carry over to the same account unless it's a preorder key.
Good luck though, you might check the official site and see if others are having a problem.
Just not worth my time anymore.
Are you sure it was a code for this weekend? A code for last beta weekend will not work for this beta weekend. You could also try to snag a key from here: http://www.gamespot.com/event/codes/tera-giveaway/
You can keep getting them to re-send new verification codes, but the only time I thought it was not working was because I copied it wrong, I accidentally copied a space before or after the code itself.
Anyways, it's a very important feature to prevent you from being hacked, people can not sign in from an unfamiliar I.P adress to your account without submitting a code sent to your e-mail.
+1
You cant copy / paste codes anymore. Now you have to actually type them in.
yes I have tried pasting, and then typing, it just keeps saying it is an invalid code , why would en masse send me an invalid code, I emailed them so maybe they can fix it. I understand the hacking security but there seems to some issues
But they have an option to just click to ask for a new code...have you done that?
If you close your client and reopen the first code they sent you won't work. You have to reopen the client, get the notification again, get a 2nd pass code, and use that one. The reason behind this is you are using a different IP than the one that was used when you registered your account. Since I'm sure your IP isn't static that is the most likely case.
I am useing the same computer , the same IP , internet explorer and sbcglobal.net, so far they have sent me about 9 codes, I will try again today useing the last code they sent me and see what happens, wish me luck LOL
That is strange OP. I decided to log in from work to see if it gave me issues. It stated the same and sent me a code. I inputted the code and it worked.
Perhaps its a problem with the browser? Not sure why it would be an issue, but couldnt hurt to try. Using Chrome seems to work.
I tried internet explorer and chrome same thing, the code they keep sending me is invalid, it seems crazy but that is what i get
Don't bother, game is bad.
Too many similarities with Aion, the combat in Tera is differen't but for the worse.. unless you like your action painfully slow.
Stop, swing, miss, dodge, repeat.. < That is the combat...
In PvE the mobs attacks are so easy to predict, so it isn't even very satisfying to beat anything, it's all pretty simple and easy.
Anyway, good luck if you decide to try it anyway.
Well I finally got it to work by changing my password , I was not super thrilled with the game last beta but i will give it another chance. I will say this if you are a hacker you will have trouble hacking this game
He played to level 6, true story.
Grats Eddie on fixing the problem.
So I should endure painful boredom for x hours so I can get to the fun? You're messed up.
And I played a couple of hours past the starting zone, I'm not gonna stick around for end game hoping the game actually becomes enjoyable, it should be fun from the char creation and onwards.
Is that what I said you should do? No.
I am just stating the things you say are biased and hold no bearing because it is not fact, just speculations based on early levels. If I was to judge WoW from let's say 1-9 i'd say "All the monsters die really easy, no challenge in the whole game, there's no PvP, not enough skills, kind of boring and no grouping".
Is that indicative of the whole game? No, so why post it. You posted as if it were fact, you didn't say in my opinion or from level x to x, you just made statements.
What to expect from a silly company? I mean ip locking the game because of the lame reason to prevent hackers when most of the MMOs on the market are region free and running fine.
