I realize they will be adding a LFD tool, albeit within the server (rather weak decision not making it across servers... hopefully that will change).
I personally am GLAD they're not doing a cross-server tool. This was not a weak decision but a very strong one on bioware's part and im happy that it will be single-server for atleast a while (im sure eventually it will go cross-server over the months/years).
as it stands now i don't see cross server lfd tool being that bad since the game itself does seem rather geared toward solo play. What would be awesome is if they took GW2 idea of WvWvW and implemented it into swtor o.0 this would provide a huge boost and help with some of the faction unbalances seen on single servers not too mention breathe new life into pvp.

WvWvW has a chance in helping balance factions, but it also has just as much of a chance of destroying the balance. The only way to truly solve faction balance it to FORCE players to only play certain Classes/Factions. Last I knew, most people are adverse to this kind of action though. I am not sure what the best thing to do to keep a faction balance, but I think that WvWvW is not the answer, or at least, only a small part of the answer.
"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"

Uh... No?
That's the POINT of having 3 factions...

Warhammer didnt get as many initial subs, but it also didnt cost hundreds of millions to develop.
