So, I am currently screwing around in the free trial and really contemplating subbing. Actually, considering going All Access, but am trying to figure a few things out with the region lock. Anyways, I started a Disciple and simply love playing this character. He is a bit OP I think, at least starting out but am wondering what will happen if I pursue the character.
* Are there a ton of Disciples in game so as to make e a dime a dozen?
* Is there a role for this class later on, on the way to max, end game?
* What role does the Disciple inevitebly fill? DPS or healer?
Thanks in advance. Having a hard time not pulling the trigger on a sub, but I think this will help me decide.

I loved the disciple class. I didnt get him to max level but I usually I found myself meleeing and healing the entire way, even in groups. I loved that it broke the whole "sit on my butt til someone needs a heal" approach.
Most over used class atm due to thier super solo ability. its -The Solo Class- of all classes currently. that said Vanguard is pretty mutch a solo game these days, and untill f2p you be happy whit that class since you will not be depending on others to progress , there simply not enough others" around to group up whit all the time.
"all access" are you sure? theres nothing in SOE's stable thats not either f2p or compleetly not worth it. vanguard is amoung the last (maybe even the last) game that aint f2p yet. (its SOE's new motto) be cheaper to play per month now and see were it leads long term.
Im really looking forward to seeing it go F2P this summer. Its my hope that an injection of new players can bring it back to life. Vanguard has got to be the most underrated MMO out there.
I wouldnt be suprised if there was a new package deal with all their games going f2p.
Well, there is. They have partnered witha German Company for several of their titles and they will deal exculsively with all EU IP pings.
So the new deal is, All Access except for EQ2. The titles that fall under the prtnership (EQ2, and EQ Next, Planetsdie 2 upon release) will require you to work through the German company.
Not a big deal for alot of folks who mantain the same IP. But I move internationally, and log in from worlwide IP addresses. Region lock will hurt me.
Thats another matter though, If I pay for VG I will pay the extra 5 even if just for EQ as I have been thinking about that game for awhile again. Would love to see a resoultion on what they will do for those who do not have regional IP as a guarantee though.
