Confused about Pre-Purchase

Okay, so I looked at the FAQ and it looks like to pre-purchase the CE (North America) I would need to walk into a brick and mortar store and buy a pre-purchase box then go back at launch to get a real box...cool, I get that.

Circumstances make this impossible for me so...

Is there going to be anyway to pre-purchase the CE online?
