no in GW2 you can have a 1 word name
Good question, I don't recall seeing any info on that. I'll check, though.
(I hope we can have first & last names, so I can carry over some of my GW1 characters)
edit: On a side note, I found an interesting bit of info stating that you can aparently reserve your names from GW1 to use in GW2. Pretty awesome.
Not sure. In the beta videos, I have seen quite a number of PC's with single word names.

I remember reading that you can use one word names. It would also go well with the lore, since both Asura and Sylvari seem to have single word names.

The character name can be 3 to 19 characters, spaces are allowed but not required.
