There is no such thing as too old - it's a state of mind (although I guess you could be 'old')  I'm 47 - and if it weren't for Gamestop - I'd have yet another CE on my mantle.

I'm just glad that I'm at a stage where I can afford the CE's now.  If they had started with them in my 20's I'd have been screwed :D!

I don't need all the fluff.  I will pre-order though for the 3 day head start, but the CE isn't compelling for me.

Picked up the CE.  $150 is a lot, but it's still less than what I paid for my copy of the GW Prophecies CE (wish I'd gotten on top of that  when I bought the game originally).  Looking forward to the prints, ST, and figure quite a bit.

Don't forget your collectable metal box!!!

That box though is pretty sweet.

Picked up a CE and a DDE. The Rytlock statue will look pretty good sitting next to my Malgus statue on my nerd shelf.

      Nerd Shelf?  Amateur :D!

Oh...and Happy B-Day Volkon!  Great philosophy!  Never stop playing!

Nope.  Bought 2 standard versions.  One for me, one for the wife and kids.  IMO the "goodies" in the CE didn't rate the expense.

Also - Go Penguins!  Go Steelers!

Edit:  added comment about the goodies

You want me to pay to play a game I already paid for???

    Be afraid.....The dragons are HERE!

I could not justify it. Very few digital items that were worth having. Several of which are not re-usable.

I would much rather spend the money in the cash shop, for items that will affect gameplay and progression.

How much did you pay? It was only $69.99 at launch? Or did you ebay it later on?

I picked up a DDE cause i will always regret not having sparkly hands...

I'm sorry but the only one saying anything about the second coming is you. Fans of a game accept its flaws and strengths.

Walked into my local Gamestop before work today and purchased the CE. Got home about an hour ago and registered my beta key and now it's time to wait and go insane. The rumor is it may possibly release in June but I will admit this is the first time I've ever pre-ordered a game without knowing when it was coming out lol!!

This game will suck my life away, I can't wait! I've needed a new game addiction for a looooong time now.

pre- ordering digital deluxe, too expensive for collectors...and most of the price comes from the statue.  If I had the money I would buy it and start a nerd shelf like that other guy mentioned.

Really didn't want to, but I went with Digital Delux. At least now I can play with no regrets, kinda.

  • ZylaxxZylaxx Member Posts: 2,574

I pre-purchased the normal version and pre-ordered the CE.  I plan on keeping the CE for a while in hopes of the collectors prices go up in the future.

I paid $170 quite a bit later.  I'd gotten the Factions & Nightfall CE's when those campaigns came out, but I'd only gotten the first one as something to try out, so I had no real prior knowledge of the available editions and whatnot.

  • MosesZDMosesZD Member UncommonPosts: 1,361

    Digital deluxe, not CE.

  • laxika91laxika91 Member Posts: 50

Standard only. It still ate my money. 55 euro is a lot for a student. :D I'm working for 2euro/hours so that's why. :)

The things i wanted from it was the book and the coundtrack, but i can probably just find those for sale somewhere else later, so i'm not getting the CE

2 standard versions, one for you and one for the wife and kids?  Kids as in plural?  You mean the rest of your family has to share just one copy?

Oh man.....in your house there's going to be PvP outside the game due to this.  image
