it is a valid question about the race lore.
Like anyone is going to care about the lore a month after release. Lore is even more pointless then story in an MMO. No one is going to care once they hit max level. Also, didn't say they were pointless questions, just said it's pointless to ask about them.
Popori is actually a general term for various intelligent races with different animal-like features that live in the Popori Kingdom. They are composed of the upper class matriarchal leaders, Eluren, as well as well as the Porian, Merunim, Uru and Perunim common class races with their distinctive animal-like looks.
matriarchal leaders, are supposed to be females. Eluren, do they mean Elins?

when you say anyone, are you actually refering to yourself in particular? how do you know, noone cares about the lore? just because you decided that right now? or you happen to have a magic crystal ball, that tells you who is or isen't interested?

Anyone meaning more then 70% of the playerbase. If you believe otherwise then you're fooling yourself. It doesn't take a crystal ball to know this, it only takes previous experience.

You can go from one video game to the next looking for Female versions of races and species where you'd expect to find them and you just flat out won't.
I've had discussions about it with people here and there. Such as, "Where are all the female Orcs and all the baby orcs in this community of 'evil bad creatures'?"
Companies just don't bother, is the plain and simple response to it. For all manner of reasons, none of which are really fair or 'just'.
I looked up the Elin and popori race history, its seems the Elin were created out of the essence of Goddess Elinu. Then the Elin couldn't handle the pressure alone of protecting nature, so they some how created the popori / awakened them. So the addition of male Elins and female popori wouldn't really fit with the history of the races.
As for the Baraka, it doesn't really mention where they come from. Only that they descended from GIANTS, so I'm guessing female Barakas were just not included. Not sure though.
I can see why some people may have wanted more options as far as females for baraka go, but I just think its the way the game in general was already created and thought out. The need for female baraka didn't seem important I guess, but it doesn't hurt to ask why they don't.
Well, maybe some of the Popori are female. I mean you really can't tell whether it's a male or female for a lot of animals without close study.
^ While this may be true, the only clear indication I think gave away that Popori were male were the voice choices. I could be wrong though.
still, that don't explain why Elins would awaken only the males? why not female animals too?
sounds like the Adam and Eve story from the bible. the man, were lonely, then god decided to make women , from one of Adam's ribs. see the resemblance?p
if the Elins wanted a male, why not just ask the goddess to make them one?P too many plotholes in the story if you ask me!p
and if you really think about it, there is alot of creepy things in it as well!p

In the time when the giants were warring the races they controlled the Amani's and used them as war slaves. When the Amani rose up (with the help of the castanic's) and drove the giants away, the giants created the baraka to replace the amani's.
~There is more but that's all I remember~

Oh thats a neat history / story, makes sense then why Baraka don't have female playable characters. Since the GIANTS created the Barakas as slaves I presume, they weren't concerned with gender. Plus the Giants were wiped out, so maybe no time was left to create female Baraka. Thanks!
hopefully they add Baraka females, at one point or another.
do you think is possible to see new races in the future?
The possibility is always there, but I just don't foresee that happening anytime soon.
From my perspective, I think of the Argons as an alien race from another galaxy or planet bent on conquering land, resources and causing great destruction in their path. So it could be possible for another alien race (outside race) some how being intergrated / joining the ranks and helping us against the Argons.
Maybe something along the lines of a race that was almost wiped out to near extinction by the Argons, but some how manage to survive and travel to Valkyon... Lol. Making this up as I go on.
Well, maybe some of the Popori are female. I mean you really can't tell whether it's a male or female for a lot of animals without close study.

The various plot holes should be your first clue that the lore is of lesser importance in the long run, at least to the Developers.
Here are a few observations (not facts) about Asian MMO's that I have.
One, it is cheaper to make only one gender of a particular race and / or class in terms of artwork necessary so corners are cut in this area quite frequently. (fortunately they don't have gender specific classes, that causes more discontent than Tera's system)
Two, more men play MMORPG's than women, I've seen ranges from a high of 35% females (WOW) to a low of 5% (EVE) and the fact is, more often than not men relate to male characters, hence races/classes tend to heavily favor males over females.
Three, when men do play female characters, seems like the number one reason is because they enjoy looking at an attractive backside of their avatar. Notice most of the humanoid females are very attractive in Tera (and largely underdressed) again appealing to the larger male player base. Female animals just aren't going to cut it. (though it does raise disturbing questions about the Elin, I'm not going to go there)
Four, but speaking of the Elin, it does seem to be one of the two cute races, so I presume it is attractive to the female audience and the developers figure they've got that segment (female dominated) covered. I also assume this would cover the younger audience as well, (along with the Popori) but not sure if this is a title well suited to younger players. (is any MMORPG really?)
In the end, the lore is woven around the finanical concerns and social designs intended by the developers and the plot suffers for it.

I saw in a small popori village some poporti orphans.
That must mean they lost their parents (cos they are orphans you know) So the only logic conclussion is that poporis and elins are the progenitors!!!
All Elins have popori details (ears, tail..) another interesting fact.
Its anime... The laws of Cute supercede the laws of Realism.
the Elins, turned Animals into a sentient race. the poporis. i doubt elins and poporis mate. that would be just plain wierd.
so if poporis were all animals, why only males? still don't make any sense.
and Baraka are supposed to be a stone giant. why no females?
Why no trannies? Why no crossdressing? Why you stuck with only one weapon type? Why no marriage system? Why no raids? See how pointless asking all those questions are? They just aren't in the game.
Right, because there's nothing wierd about Elins and Poporis, otherwise?
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.
they are pointless questions to you. i find pointless your post.

lol... did you knew that they we're seperated? if i recall right they we're the same race once!! now, thats wierd...
Atleast i think it was Popori with furries and lolis together, before seperating them. Like dwarfs in Lineage 2 as race.
the best way to kill a troll is to FLAME ON! ...or with acid...
the more i think about it, the more creepy it gets! lol
don't you think they should add some female poporis?

Both Elins and Poporis are animals anyways, and both of them share the same racials :P
