EQNext, or eqIII as it is called is an alternate time line of norrath, vanguard does not equate into the equation as it is the world of Telon.
What eqIII will be is a browser based mmo that you can play on you tablet or on your computer.
Why could you not find Telon through a portal or vise versa. All that is missing is a time line of some kind.

EQ2 is already an alternate timeline of Norrath.
Would it have vans you could drive to complete quests in?
Sony = idiot company and will ruin the game... I am looking forward to EQ3 maybe they can redeem themselves after Eversheet 2.

Do you not know who the producer is for eqnext. Dave Georgeson, handle Smokejumper. He is the guy who the last 2 years turned EQ2 into a steaming pile of crud. Now they moved him over to EQNext (eqIII).
We know it is going to be free to play with a hug play to win item shop, that is what he has done to all soe games atm with Vangaurd soon to follow.
If you like an item shop then you will love eqIII, because that is what eqII has turned into.
I thought EQ2 was the same timeline, just 500 years in the future from EQ.
Itis more like 1000 years in the future after the rendering where the gods destroyed Lucian to kill all the beast lords.
EQIII will be 500 years before EQ, and on a what if this event did not happen that lead to EQ, I guess it gives them latitude in what they can do since no lore will be applied.
Yes and not to mention vangaurd = telon, and eq=norrath not even the same universe.

Go to eq2wire.com and read. Also you can check out the past 2 years of comments on the fainfair pages where they talked about eqIII. You might have to go back months but a lot of it is there that is if your asking about eqnext. Feldon does a good job keeping folks updated.
If your asking about the eq2 content, I played it since launch, and I played vangaurd in beta for for the first 3 months. If you not played the 2 games then go give them a try they are the difference between night and day.
PS (as a post note fainfaire has been changed this year to soe live) For the past 2 years we have heard about eqnext. For some reason this year it will not be part of the discussion. I asked Danica why, she said it was two early in devolopment to be listed. So maybe things are changing for the project, who knows. You can also check their facebook status for that answer.
