But GW2 is different, i know alot about the game, followed every news and and red every article. Nothing compared to GW1, where i discovered everything on my own.

I made once a bad experience with Final Fantasy 8. I loved FF7 and thought FF8 is going to be even better, but it wasnt. Ive red there many reviews and articles too and somehow when i played it, i had that bad feeling i cant describe anymore. I jsut hated FF8 in the end.

Im feeling like its going to be the same with GW2. To much information has been leaked out, to many vids were showing. To much hype was genereted.

Im not quite sure if im going to buy GW2. It doesnt really matter what a great game it is, once you got that bad feeling, its hard to loosen.

ive seen so many vids and it feels like ive played it already trough, without touching it myself. Its like ive played it to the endgame, without playing it to the endgame. Its like ive seen the ending movie, without seeing the ending movie.

    Anyone got similiar feelings?

In all the videos out there, you've seen less than 5% of the explorable world.

By the way, what does "Fanboyism" as you allude to in your post have to do with your potential enjoyment of the game?

Honestly, it sounds like the OP just needs to stop following the game, and wait for a release date.

I get what he's saying, and I think it has more to do with him seeing too many spoilers than the game itself. When you feel like you know everything about a game before you've even played it, it is hard to not get that feeling of 'well, i already feel like i know the game, why should i even bother playing it now'.

One of the big things with this game is going to be the experience, the ride, the journey. The OP would probably get a lot more out of this game if he tried to go into the game w/ more of a fresh mind (similar to how it was in the first game).

I'm not sure why for some people the enthusiasm of others for a game negatively impacts them...
