I'm from Europe but I have a relitvely fast internet, so would I experience a lot of lag?
I'm just not liking the idea of Frogster running a game..When all of their other games are F2P/pay to win.
Would Tera EU ever go f2p? And it it did, would it be along with NA?
Or are they both compeltely seprate?
I can imagine EU having less players and going less viral than the US version, which could also lead to a F2P model being implanted on it.
And the US beta also doesn't wipe afterwards which makes it seem even more attractive, I'm just upset that I'll miss PCC if I happen to join US

I'm also extremely weary of Frogster dealing with TERA here in the UK. Just visiting Frogster's site and then checking out EN Masse's, you can blatantly see what the more professional looking company is.
I really hope that TERA EU doesn't become a flop whilst TERA US seems to be ahead of the game here in the EU.
I just hope that everything the US version has, the EU version will have aswell.
If you're going to pvp alot I would not suggest playing on NA servers.
A guildmate of mine did some testing. He and his wife made a berserker each and started doing Combo attack at the same time. When the berserker on EU was done with the 4th hit the NA berserker just started doing the 3rd hit.
So you will have quite a huge disadvantage in attack speed if you play on NA servers.

Is that going to be the only real difference between the EU & NA version? I just hope we don't get all of the NA hand-me-downs, due to Frogster not being able to come up with anything themselves. Are Frogster even able to make changes to the game if need be?
I really hope they can't
From what I've seen and heard, everything NA gets, we get. So I guess it's best to stick to EU.
Frogster are just publishing the game, hopefully they can't overly alter it..
I suppose it was just the little things that were worrying me really, such as live ingame events, patch changes, new dungeons etc etc. I just hope that we're playing the same game over here in the EU as in NA.
I often check up on the game's features etc on the EN Masse website, but seeing as I was going to be playing the EU version, I'm guessing it'd be pointless to read EN Masse's TERA site to find out more about the game... Or will it?
When one game is updated, so is the other ^^ we might have a week or so delay, but we'll get every single content update that they get^_^
well i just got a refund from en masse cos i bought the US one by mistake when i was shitfaced...customer support were brilliant..even for a drunken twat like me..so just waiting to get the money back then i can purchase EU version..only problem £10 dearer cos of VAT..20%.what a fu----g joke.
I lol'd, ha
That's great news. Thanks for that ^^
Go for EU - this is a game where ping will matter and it does not matter if you have 10 mbit or 100 mbit line back in the home , it won't make ping fall below some value.
Beta is almost over as well so that is not really an argument imo.
If you have a choice I found it is almost always better to play on your region server.
Ping + less packet lost + more people that play at your hours.
i would pick NA. En Masse > Frogster
I've got the straight edge.
frogster is my least fav gaming company. it is the only company i have 100% boycotted. en masse ftw all day every day.

As long as latency issues don't concern you much, I'd go with this recommendation.

I dunno its an action mmorpg I would pick Frogster and if you think you get shiddy service just stop playing. Also the time difference will mean less people on in your prime time if your a night shift worker maybe thats a good thing.
Plus Im more likely to bump into friends on the EU servers.
Be warned though I think you may have to pay tax ontop of your sub and dollar conversion.
Ping to the US servers from the UK was only 100-120ms which is well within acceptable numbers, especially when you consider that this game calls itself FPS but is more like point in the general direction or lock on.
Tera is BHS Game i dont think neither Frogster or en masse can make changes with Tera without notifying BHS hence why all updates are in sync and why we will always be behind korea because the patches come out there then get westernized and translated. so other than customer support and website service i dont think there will be much of a change but Tera has caught alot of attention in NA rather than EU so if you go for EU atleast pick a "packed" server and hope for the best but to be honest i think Tera will be doing just fine
well since i sobered up..i am going on EU servers..mainly cos of time difference.i pulled back from ordering today, dont know why, something to do with 20 % VAT i think.i might wait til its a little cheaper.dont get me wrong,i think the game is excellent although it will be a grind.just cant get my head around paying £40 for a digital copy.i know some say thats just being a tightarse but i have a principal and i,m gonna stick with it..also went to Funcom to order TSW but £40 yet again..i dont blame the gaming companies at all for the price of the game..this is down to my own country being RIP OFF BRITAIN.
