Vanilla wow was not that great. Pvp sucked. Spend hours grinding kills to get to rank 11. Thats as far as i got. Class imbalance. Etc etc. Funny how people around their 20s reminisce on how everything was better before. I bet most didnt Even Play vanilla wow
we all look back through rose colored glasses but I do remember the mobs being more challenging than the super easy mode of today and to me that was more enjoyable, you had to do a little bit of searching to find your quest objectives and that was more satisfying, and the world was smaller and felt more immersive

I agree completely except I think that whole 'rose colored glasses' is a bit overused and innaccurate. I'm perfectly capable of remembering how much fun I was having at a particular point in my life and I was having a BLAST in Vanilla Wow. I remember it very well, warts and all, including lagging out in BWL and having to call Raids, etc. I do miss having to ask other people for help to find quest objectives and get help locating mobs and such.
The 'good ole days' are the same for everyone. It's when you are young, healthy, horny and as alive as you'll ever be. It's not a specific decade and it's different for everyone. It's just that being young is great and you never forget it.

Sorry, double post. Don't know how that happened.
