    I've actually been considering us using C3 for voice chat, because it's free-- including servers.  However, voice chat is totally not required, it's just something that'll make things easy for people to meet up.

    We honestly have no idea if there will or won't be an Asia server - just trying to cover bases.  If there are 3 different servers, than ALL of us might not be able to meet up but anyone in the MMORPG.COM guild would be meet up with each other on their respective servers.

    Is there going to be an age restriction on the vent server? Nothing ruins games for me faster than kids with high pitched voices that talk way to much.

    No age restrictions but it does belong to Star, so you can see her rules in the first post of this thread :) doesn't sound like she'll take any bs ;)

    Best way to make the community great is by example and not letting jerks get away with being jerks.  I think Star will be all over that.

    why are people so anti voice chat? it really helps when you are trying to learn a game.

    I am not saying those people are wrong.. I just do not understand why. I have only understood one person's reason and I helped them figure out that it was a silly reason =P They were shy about their accent which is downright silly! All accents are wonderful and should be shared with others :) Personally typing is difficult(for medical reasons) and I cannot wait to be back in a game and in vent rather than typing on the forums.

    It ruins a game's immersion factor for me.  I listen to the game's sounds and music or music on my player.  I really don't want to listen to voice chatter, especially when it completely shatters the atmosphere of the game I am playing.  It's the same reason why I can't stand TV's being on when I'm trying to study or being surrounded by a bunch of loudmouths at a restaurant while I try to read while I'm eating.  Some poeple like me, just don't like White Noise.

     

    Edit:  Frankly, I absolutely adore the music I've heard in the video clips.  I am looking forward to that as much as the game itself.

    I'm totally with you but given that this is just beta, I'll 'smell the roses' when the game has launched.  For now, it's just going to be nice to figure out as much about the game as we can together, meet up etc. :)

    No one knows what the server names will be for certain.  For NA, we're going with Maguuma for now as that one existed in a previous beta.

    As for EU, we don't have one chosen yet -- but we do require someone who could be in charge of creating the MMORPG.COM guild on the EU server if you're up for it.

    I will be there, not sure on character name since i have no idea what will be already taken. I also love voice chat and hope theres room for more. Makes a game alot more fun when i can sit and discover things with other players and i really hate typing, makes combat (and jumping puzzles) alot more difficult :P
