well you can get low prices at www.newegg.com is a cool place but they only sell parts so you have to build it by yourself, plus 500 bucks for a computer with those specs then something is wrong

Does he want your money first? Can you go over to his house and WATCH him build your machine? These are some questions you want to know. As for the $620 dollar deal, what kind of motherboard? Does it support the new AMD 400MHz FSB? Does it have dule DDR support?
Questions, questions and more questions.

The best thing right now would be to build your own or find someone who can. I havent read all the posts someone probably already suggested this.
I just bought an ATI Radeon 9600 256 MB for 160 - 512 DDR ram is going 75-100+ and you can go from there...Find a buddy who can help you build it and what not, or just replace some of the basics in your computer now. Alienware is good and all but a $1000+ machine from them can cost you $700 removing the middleman.
Hope this helps.

well the computer itself was in classifieds, and im on the phone with him a lot, he says that i can come to his house, when i have bought a better graphics card, and he will make me install it, so i know how. the computer itself is already built. and waht do all these questions mean....? i mean theres more than just the basics....?

yea thanks a lot, it's just that, I myself, don't know how to build a pc, and this guy has built one, so.....im hoping to trust him

Well if you cant build your own what i would do is ask this guy what he would charge you to build one if you bought the parts. Thing is buying this "ready built" system from him, you dont know if hes taken parts out of old systems, refurbished parts, etc. If you go to www.pricewatch.com or www.newegg.com and buy yer own parts...ask him what hed charge per hour to assemble it or something....i guarantee you come out with better results
its a pretty average deal, at least i think so without referencing the parts for prices. try www.googlegear.com for some good deals as well. though they tend to be more expensive than 675$, but not as crappy as the specs you provided
