A beautiful day in the Shire. I was enjoying a pleasant stroll through the woods when I came to the top of a hill and chanced upon this beautiful sight. I've always loved the LOTRO graphics, and the atmospherics people really outdid themselves here. Simply gorgeous.
I made this attempt to scale the heights of Hollin to get the Ridge Racer title and as a bonus, I got to see this picturesque scenery of one of the highest point in the game.
From the moment I made my first character, all I wanted to see was Balin's Tomb. Next to the Gladden Fields, it was to me the greatest Dwarven monument in Middle-Earth. I could only pay my respects.
My favourite place is Rivendell. Where it all began, where the Fellowship of the Ring was formed, where the mission to destroy the One Ring was decided, the beginning and the union of nine members who were determined to bring peace to Middle-earth in its dangerous journey to Mount Doom in Mordor. The best history ever. I love LotRO !
I have many beautiful pictures of scenery, monsters and recently fireworks. In fact i had to recently go through my folder and delete hundreds of them to free up some space.
But one thing i really enjoy in LotRO is the Role Play that you sometimes come across while on your travels in Middle Earth. One place where you will be sure to find some is the Prancing Pony in Bree and nothing beats chilling out to some original tunes from the great bands that play there after spending hours out in the wilds hunting Orcs and Spiders (my character especially hates giant spiders)
Shooting pictures for the kin yearly calendar, I got this nice shot of one member looking out the window in the "foyer" of Ost Elendil. The effects of the dread in the area lends an artistic feel to it.
This is me in the Drownholt, in Southern Mirkwood, demonstrating how well it lives up to its name. It is a good place to be a hobbit-sized burglar in some ways, but in others, well...
My hobbit burglar facing a deadly and monstrous spider in the depths of Mirkwood during an Epic Quest. Were it not for my elven friends who provided the much needed support, I would have surely perished from the ravaging venom and sharp claws of this beast, eaten alive and forgotten in the darkness of this accursed forest.
This is one of my many favorite moments in game is doing something so simple as to escort Bill the Pony back to the location. Such great things like this make the game so worthwhile to play.
When i was exploring Isengard for the first time, i found this warg by a quest and i immediately thought at The Lion King of Dysney. It was a great instant to return into childhood and say : amazing. Thank you for all great memory and Happy Birthday LOTRO!
I've had many hours of fun in Lotro over the years, but haven't played in a while and like others seeing all these nice pictures makes me want re-discover Lotro. I dug through my old screenshot folder from my Lotro days and found a picture I really liked the look of. The picture was taken on the eastern side of Lothlorien I believe.
Here you see me chasing a deer around Lothlorien on my Runekeeper I believe it was, I was going to kill it for some reason I don't remember and then it ran ahead of me, and when I caught up to it, the deer was standing like it does in the picture and I just had to take a screenshot. Safe to say I didn't feel like I could do anything to the poor deer after seeing him like that, so I left peacefully as he enjoyed some fine Lothlorien grass, and maybe he still lives today.

The Shire. 'Nuff said
All my favourite memories are tied here:
the first fishing (right after that my first catfish cake at our Superior oven),
the first mmo experience as a lvl1 chicken,
the first stargazing, laying on the Hill smoking my self-made pipeweed (if you're lucky, you can see the rainbow too )
the pies of Holly Hornblower
etc. etc... being a hobbit in the Shire, the best life it is!
