Ok, I haven't been following GW2 that close, but...

Can I...

1. lvl on pvp and pve?

2. Jump into the WvWvW stuff un-guilded and still enjoy the benefits of victory... or cry with defeat?

I'm not into ultra-organized E-sports. Nor can I commit to login at "X time" to be part of the cool kid crowd.

I'm mostly solo and unapologetic. Could GW2 be for me as well?

And yes, I could have probably trolled around and found out said answers to my questions. But thank you to whomever answers them for making my day a bit easier!

not sure what you're asking here, but if it's along the lines of "is it casual friendly?" then yes

    1. you can pvp from lvl 1 as well as pve

    2. you will gain from wins, etc in pvp. However, guilded peeps will see a greater advantage from "boosts" for completeing various stuff within pve & pvp

    that's if I remember correctly :P

    regards

    Yes to both.

You can level through WvW if you want and you will even get level appropriate loot drops from enemy corpses and coin from events (events in WvW are things like capture a keep, or defend a location).

Being in a guild gives you some benefits from their influence but it isn't required and you can easily create your own guild if you want.

I would suggest prepurchasing GW2 instead of pre-ordering it so you can get access to all beta weekends starting from April 27th until the coming scheduled betas

There's also a great sticky at the top of the forum that covers a lot of info.

tbh I don't know of any game which answers all of your questions with a yes, to as great of an extent as GW2 does.

You can Level in both, WvW bolsters your effective level to Max so you can complete, players drop loot that is your level. There are also WvW dynamic events for you to play in.

    2. Jump into the WvWvW stuff un-guilded and still enjoy the benefits of victory... or cry with defeat?

The benefits of WvW are server wide, so you don't even need to be in WvW to reap your rewards. As long as the server as a whole is working on WvW the entire community will gain benefits.  Everything in WvW is Dynamic, you can just run up to and join in with anyone and everyone *from your realm, enemies wont be so friendly* and join in on the fun without that uneasy feeling of having to say "hey wanna join my group?"

Just jump into WvW,  press M and look for the double sword Icon *meaning there is a fight going down yo! run on over and join in. Noi requirements apart from your digital avatar.

There is almost nothing in Gw2 you will do Solo, and yet at the same time there is no need for you to actually talk to anyone to join in. When you're simply in the mood to 'solo' stuff, you can ignore chat. Or you can run off to some random part of the PvE map no one else is in and do some events, i say PvE map because I do not suggest you attempt to roam around solo in WvW, you will die. You can do the Events in WvW solo, as well as take down enemy trade RAMS < yes they're Rams pfft. That's about it however, any sieging requires a large group.

You can pre-order from GameStop and still get all of the beta and 3-day early access benefits.
