Hello guys first of all ty for answering
I'm a bit tired of WOW, Rift and Aion... was planing to get Tera, but I'm really short on money, so I have to make the right decision got it.
Anyone here played the beta? I got this from one post of you:
TERA -> Fantasy MMO w/ action combat. From what I've seen / read there's no 'pvp' gear. Gear is gear, and there is Open PvP.
Is that right? And what about raids, will it be possible do play a little solo to get gear etc.. or just group as always?

I played in the beta, but I can't really tell you that much about the endgame.
If you have time to sit down and read, there are a few threads here and here that have a lot of people talking about their experiences with it. Also, check out the TERA general discussoin.
I guess I would ask you what you what you are tired of in WoW and Aion, because TERA by no means reinvents the wheel. It's your standard quest grind / dungeon run linear experience. The combat is its big selling point, but, while a little more involved and entertaining than the traditional MMO, still feels very much like MMO combat. You still have your rotations, and the the trinity is in full effect. For me, the combat wasn't nearly enough to really separate it from the droves of random MMOs out there.
I guess if I had to Frankenstein it, I would say that's it's kind of a cross between WoW/facsimile, Lineage 2, and Vindictus.
From WoW (WoW types), it takes the traditional format, quests, dungeons, linear leveling with a focus on endame. From lineage 2, I think it has a similar look and feel (updated, of course), and it also using a similar PvP system, where you can attack anyone you want, but you build negative karma. From Vindictus, it takes the actional style combat, however, I actually found the combat to be more enjoyable in Viindictus. It seemed to stray from the MMO feel a little better than TERA, and felt more like an action game.
Anyway, like I said, I only got through the beta and have only done moderate reading on it. It really just comes down to what you are sick about your old games. If you really like the format, but feel that the combat needs to be jazzed up, then you may want to check it out. Though, I'm not entirely sure how all of the engame content breaks down. I know there is some kind of political system, which sounds interesting, but I'm not sure what it offers in terms of raiding. Hopefully this helps a little.
Having played the beta all weekend and all 5 closed beta's, i can safely say that if your looking for a good game, that is something abit different, yet similar at the same time. This is the game, the combat is fanasctic, the world and skill animation is excellent and leveling doesnt takes AGESSS like some games do, still a decent ammount of time but yeah. They will without a doubt implement raids in the future, my guess is 10/15 man atleast. Currently in our version there are 5 man instances etc... and yeah pvp gear is available, so if your considering getting it, consider no longer and just do it! if your looking for a game, that is, this is the one.
Humm ty for answering guys.
Well one thing that I might like is that it evolved from Lineage 2, I like this thing that you can attack anyone or be attacked by anyone. This makes the experience a bit more real in my opinion. The fact that it has PVP gear is bad.. I don't like that, for me Gear is Gear, its stupid to separate PVP from PVE gear but thats another discussion.
What I told that I'm sick is the fact that sometimes you dont have anything nice to do in game except for grinding for leveling and grouping for raids, I like when there's some good solo content got it.
There is PvP gear but you get it through the Battlegrounds. However, the Battlegrounds were removed to redesign and improve them and so the PvP gear was removed with them.
En Masse(US publisher) said the Battlegrounds will return this summer so the PvP gear will probably return with them.
There is currently 1 raid in Tera. Its called the Nexus, its pretty much the same thing as the rifts in Rift.
Thats not a raid, thats just like a public even like DE.
As of now there is no raids but hard modes for end game 5 man dungeon.
If you looking for some innovative questing this is not the place for you. Tera will shing in its use of the combat, also pvp with the combat is extremely skill based when you equal lvl.
PvP wise basically if you choice to play on pvp server at lvl 11 (as soon as you leave the tutoral island) you get a skill call declartion of outlaw that let you flag yourself. Once your flagged you can attack anyone and anyone can attack you so becarful where you flag.
Other than that GvG in this game is really good, it last 24hrs and first side to hit 2k points win or whoever get most point at end fo 24 hrs. Pretty much when your in GvG you can kill the guild anywhere beside town/safe zone that you see them. Massive battles are very fun.
Than you have duels well are 1v1 most game have them i'm sure you know how it works but again with Tera combat system almost any class can be any other class. I personally lost to healers as a tank because the healers i'm fighting are good which is amazing coz i dying to healer as a tank is like wow o.o
Death matches are i think some thing great, its like a portable battleground, you can organize anything form 1v1 up to 1v10 (side doesn't have to be equal) you fight until all other team are knocked out, and you can wage money on your team as well)
