Woke up this morning

Woke up this morning to the guild wars 2 theme fanfareing throughout my room at full blast. Head pops off my pillow and i look over to my monitor to behold the all mighty gw2 login screen flowing onscreen. By what sorcery this awesomeness was bestowed upon me, i know not. But when the flood gates open...and we are permitted to engage ourselves in this fantasy world... the fapping will be immense.

But seriously. Finished downloading sometime early this morning. Started it and passed out. Looks like a sweet login screen. Nothing over the top or crazy or so epic that it uses more cpu and gpu power than the game itself. Pretty excited for this weekend

Heh... first thing I thought of. I have to admit, before work I had to "test" the GW2 icon one more time. Nice to hear the music, knowing what's now 2 days out...

Eeeehehehehehe....cant wait.  My friend and I both said it feels like when you pull up to Six Flags and see the roller coasters and you cant wait to get in line hahahaa.

LoLoL IT happened the same to me, it was around 9 am and i forgot to lower the volume since i was watching a film at night, and the mighty login screen appeared with Guild Wars 2 logo in it, fucking awesome, never had such a great awaken, 10/10 Arenanet.

Also, pretty excited.

I have tried logging on a couple of times. I do love the log in screen also, sweet, simple , and to the point. No flashy video or over the top fanfare. I hope they keep it that way for release, though I doubt it since launchers seem to be the norm now a days. I remember the days when you could double click an icon on your desk top and blam game open. Anyways so very excited, Have  a feeling I might be single after this weekend barring any large server issues and downtime.

For serious though same thing happened to me and I let it play for like 3 hours at my desk this morning on my laptop.  I even made a post about how much I love the login screen it may be a page back called 'Amazing Login Screen' or something similar.  It is great.

I work at a small local computer store..Our big gaming machine is at the front of the store and the GW2 launcher is running on it with the music going. I refresh it every 30 minutes to check for updates...downloading updates on a T1 connection is incredible. Everytime I walk by the desktop a box of kleenex is used(for fapping obviously).

But seriously. Can't wait until friday. GW2.com is my homepage and that counter is going on my desktop at home....non stop. Am i hyped up? no. Am I so excited that I may start mutilating small animals and punching children in my over-zealous frenzy........yes............hell yes. No child or small kitten will be safe from the onslaught.

 

P.S. On friday I'll have a fat stack of Dorito's Tacos and the largest Sprite money can buy to keep me company during the first night of the beta. The event weekend that was planned Zeus and the game that was forged in God's very flames, right after he forged skyrim, will be available to us for our fapping...i mean playing pleasures this friday.

Woke up this morning....at 1:30am because I left the beta downloading overnight and accidentally left my speakers on full blast. Kind as it was of me to give my entire apartment block an early taste of the GW2 soundtrack, I somehow don't think they  appreciated it. Doh!

Seriously, these threads and posts about how great the login screen (really? I mean, it's cool, but it's just a login screen), the entry music, and maybe next will come how ingenious the gw2.exe file name is, or how awesome is the compression algorithm in the gw2.dat file.

 

I know I'm excited for the beta weekend as well, but damn, some of these posts look worse than pre-teenagers babbling about their first love xD.

 

Let's keep the hype in a sane state, aye?

WOW some of you people are getting way way too excited about this.. I really do hope you guys dont get too depressed when you actually get to play the game hahaha.. remember its just a game its not the second coming of baby jesus the zombie..
