I never played the first game and understand pvp a big part of the game but as for one looking for a nice rpg that doesnt have a monthly charge would i still enjoy this game if i didint participate in the pvp or just really did the huge world stuff where my suckness in pvp can be abosrbed?
Im not saying pvp is bad or anything, my friends love it, just not my cup of tea. I know beta coming this weekend but my hand is in a cast and doesnt come out till June. Have to love dragon dictate heh. Thanks for any information.

The PvP is fully isolated from the massive PvE content and purely optional. You can enjoy it immensely without the PvP.
Oderint, dum metuant.
Of course. you don't have to do any pvp and you'll still have a blast, likewise for pvp'er they don't have to pve if they don't want to.
You can completely level up doing PvE. There are tons of dynamic events, hidden explorable areas, and allot more stuff to do. PvP is not open world PvP, so you do not have to run into any if you dont want too.
I wouldn't be able to say much for GW2 but yah in GW pvp was such a big aspect of GWs that many people totally undermined for the most part.
What was great about GW1 pvp was that it catered to everyone, be it the hardcore pvper (GuildvGuild) and the pver (had faction based alliance battles with goals and npcs to kill and this is what I played all day long in GW). One pvp area called Fort Aspenwood combined pvp and pve very well. If you played the Luxon faction side of the pvp map you essentially just mowed down npcs with big ole baddy npcs with you.
So Im pretty sure Arenanet has your worries under consideration.
Right.
OP the PVE game is seperate from the PVP game. So there's a whole world to explore that has nothing to do with PVP and there's lots to do in it. So you should be dandy. I never looked at GW2 as a totatlly PVP centric game at all. Because its not.
Thank you so much, like the looks of it. I ordered the CE edition from gamestop( had 100 in gift cardsI had
not used) and decided to treat myself to a splurge since my car accident. Realize some think not worth it, but appreciate art work and the looks of the figure.
I am going to download the beta anyway and see if i can get a few of my friends interested.
If I had the money to blow, I'd get CE for the artwork alone. The rest is nice window dressing. But I's poor.
Hopefully PvE content will be sufficient and fun at "endgame" stage. I think the stronger focus is PvP, but they seem to want to make both viable ways to play the game throughout.
i believe so, i did with Guild Wars 1, i only bothered when i finished the game and had started exploring my build more. I think they just want to attract everyone, people who want just pve, people who want just pvp and the inbetween.
Huge world to explore and with dynamic events never the same plus pvp is instanced that means seperated from pve part.
The best way I can think of to discribe GW2 is to think of it in terms of two totally seperate worls one is PvE and one is PVP and all players can move from one to the other freely.
SO yes you can PvE to your hearts content without being badgered by the uber elite gankster wanabes..
AMD Phenum II x4 3.6Ghz 975 black edition
8 gig Ram
Nvidia GeForce GTX 760
OP, you wont get beta access by ordering the game. you have to pre purchase it (pay full price up front)
I myself am not a huge PvP fan and I enjoyed Guild Wars 1 quite a bit. I am seriously looking forward to GW2.
They do a great job of catering to both PvEers and PvPers. Funny thing you may find yourself liking the PvP in GW2
Based on your question, you seem like you havent heard much about GW2. Which is okay. Means the nay sayers have'nt corrupted you yet. lol.. But anyway, check out some videos on youtube. Tons of gameplay content. I will even get you started.

....would i still enjoy this game if i didint participate in the pvp ...
How would i know?
When I said i had "time", i meant virtual time, i got no RL "time" for you.
I ordered it online, entered the number of the giftcards and payed rest with a CC. I am currently downloading the clientt as we speak, gamestop sent me two emails where one had a serial code. I followed the link and everything seems it took.
In my opinion... there is far to many games with PvP in them already. GW2 has PvP in it and from what I've seen they have done a fine job implementing it and for a person who would rather have a sharp stick thust into his eye rather than PvP... this looks like it may be fun.
There are far to many games bowing down to the "If it don't have PvP in it from the get go, the game is garbage and I'll never play it" crowd.
GW2 looks like a breath of fresh air in the stale house of MMORPG. I think it has things for everyone and by the looks of things so far it was done very well indeed.
Ratero.
ah ok then you are good to go. See you in game in 2 more days lol
Wow! That was fast. Gamestop can take forever at times. I guess with the pre-purchase issue earlier in the month with them, ArenaNet gave them a good kick in the rear.
As otherx have said there's tons of PvE content and even if you don't like PvP as a main focus you can still jump into some WvW or structured PvP anytime you like without being at a disadvantage. Even if you only played some PvP once a month.
